I am just eating the first recipe for my breakfast right now and writing this thank you note 🤤😋 I made my kimchi according to her original recipe from 9 years ago last week and I used it for this pancake. I slightly improvised on it by adding one egg and one tablespoon each of teriyaki sauce and sesame oil, less flour. Thank you for reminding us all the value of good, home-cooked ‘real’ food and that we are all one huge family.

Now, as an adult and not being able to speak or read a lot of Korean, it can be difficult to find the recipes in English to recreate these authentic dishes from my childhood. @banneth awesome news! When you make kimchijeon, you will see how fast your kimchi is gone, that's why many people make huge amount of kimchi. They make kimchi stew, kimchi stir-fried rice, kimchi dumplings, and kimchi pancake!

i love this recipe, every time i make kimchi i always think "Wow i can't wait for you to ferment to make tasty kimchi jeon!" I love to make the batter ahead of time and leave it out to ferment the flour too, it gets very tasty that way

Made this today from some kimchi I bought online (Cosmos brand). I used butter mixed with a little oil to cook it. So yummy! I also made emergency kimchi this morning then made the kimchijeon as a treat for lunch. So encouraged by your videos I'm gonna do a huge shopping for Korean groceries in the next month.
