Sunak is a sensible man on this matter. The Prime minister clearly knows what Hamzah Yousuf is trying to protect really, it is a certain religion he is trying to protect against legitimate criticism. You draw a picture of a prophet you will be arrested and thrown in jail, just like in the middle earth.

How believing or writing witchcraft fiction got to do with gender. Sorry to say brav, I come from a so called pagan country, who had successfully created ntransgender community and separated them from mainstream and controlled the narrative of genders for centuries. Unlike your Christian country our pagan country is not confused about gender.

But Sunak and Rowlings complaints aren't anything to do with the legislation. Why do you not mention that? Theres no law that will arrest you for calling a man whose transitioned into a woman, a man. The law is to tackle those who are inciting abuse and violence. Have we lost our ability to do nuance?

You need to know the whole picture. It’s becoming a nuisance with sexual literature being introduced in elementary level schools…not love story, sexual, that too in detail, next drag queen get called to perform in schools, men pretending to be women and going to women’s bathroom. It’s actually the pedos who are going to misuse the law, just like islamists have misused democracy in France and now literally a parallel country in France

@@exert2020 You know what first of all that is not a complaint from Rowliing and those backing her up like you mentioned on your comment here. I replied you for you to bare in mind that our uk is a freedom of speech country. Rowling was not complaining but what she said was a fact. By contrast Hate crime is dangerous just so you know. My worry with this legislation is it contains words like 'likely' is what you've said 'likely' to perhaps cause somebody to be seriously hurt, whether that's physically or emotionally. And we've even lowered the bar so much, that terms that are insulting could be drawn within this legislation. Why are you taking it as a complaint? Look! This is an opinion from Rowling on behalf other women which she got support from our British PM and other uk politicians for she right to bring this up.
