Class 458 (South Western Railway)
Situated to the north of Virginia Water and it's station, in a small area known as Stroude. The crossing was upgraded with the addition of two Unipart Dorman Miniature Warning Lights and two 'e2s' alarms. It was upgraded as part of the Feltham Area Resignalling Project, which involved upgraded level crossings and signalling to railway lines within the Feltham, Staines and Wokingham area - from 2022 to 2024.
I believe the change occurred back when nearby Rusham and Egham crossings were also upgraded as part of the project, back in April 2022. Therefore, at the time of filming, the lights have been operational for around two years. The crossing is slightly wider than usual as it is situated on a bridleway, which can be used by both cyclists and horse-riders as-well as pedestrians. The lineside views are very clear in each direction and trains from Virginia Water approach at a relatively slow speed.
