Hi Rod! Yes it looks so weird but it really tastes like a garlic cheesy bread! That was Aiden's sandwich. He did not get the Spam one. The corned beef hash sandwich was a bit on the salty side so just be careful. I really loved the rainbow cheese one the best to be honest out of the ones we tried!

Another great restaurant round-up video 👏 14:36 I really appreciate the extra effort you put into sharing establishing shots, directions (with landmarks), parking, info and hours for each restaurant. Helps so much with finding these places, especially the more hidden hole-in-the-wall joints. Knowing the locations also helps with picking convenient places nearby that can become my new go-to restaurants. Knowing the hours also helps to avoid showing up to a restaurant that’s closed, like those places that are breakfast and lunch-only, no dinner. I like to try out new places after work when I’m not in a rush, so knowing the hours is valuable. Thanks for sharing these food finds with us.

Thanks so much Marcus! I'm glad it is helpful because I know sometimes people and myself wonder where parking is, if there even is a parking lot and landmarks to help find the places. If you do stumble upon an old video of mine please recheck the hours to make sure they're the same. I hate when I waste time going there too and it's closed! A great place open for after work pau Hana dinner is Kotetsu Chaya. I did a video on them recently and they open at 5pm.

Happy Aloha Friday Misty!! This sandwich episode was delicious!! Lei Lei’s Bistro roast beef with the horseradish cheddar looked like a great combo in a sandwich. Their homemade chips…😋. So glad you enjoyed Honolulu Bistro. They really do a great job putting a twist on your normal grilled cheese sandwiches. The bread definitely picks it up a notch. Sprouts’ turkey was definitely nice and thick. Loved the flaky bread and it was unique to see the picked onions. We love a really good philly sandwich so was excited you picked it at Capprioti’s. Nicely packed for sure. Loved this sandwich tour!! Thanks for taking us along as we’re adding more to our list!!

I used to work on Mokauea (Trade Publishing) in the early '90s! Nothing was there! The rainbow grilled cheese is gorgeous even though that's not my thing. We have a Capriotti's in Twin Falls, ID. You picked our fave. The best turkey sub fyi is from Jersey Mike's. ❤

Couple other sub sandwich shops for you to checkout....Storto's Deli & Subs, on Queen St @Davies Pacific Center & Ohana Sub/Wahiawa. Both offer fresh baked sub breads (Better'n Subways--IMO) & fresh ingredients. FYI....Storto's flagship store is in Haleiwa, across from Aji Limo/Malama Market

Yes I wanted to include them but it's so far away. I didn't try Ohana Subs, but did have to interact with the owners for work and they are such sweet folks. I wonder if they also own the Ohana Subs in Pearl Kai Shopping Center? Storto's sandwiches with the papaya seed dressing is yum! I didn't know they had a location in town. Darn. Thanks for the heads up Harry!

Hi sista. You can't go wrong with Boar's Head meats. Very high quality. Food looks so ono. We buy Boar's Head meats all the time. A little spendy, but worth it. God bless & have a great night.

Sammich's, awesome. I wanna try the pork from Lei Lei's, did you try Jersey Mike's?, How does Cappriotti's compare if you did, we always by since we frequent that area. Used to go to Honolulu Bistro all the time when they were in the Ohana Marketplace. Love their smoothies. Another awesome video and love your parking, haha I know that area and it does suck.

Made it yesterday to Sprouts. Found street prkg a block up. Yay! Ordered the Duke and it was delicious. As promised. Shared with my sister after driving home to PC. Yours looked more amazing but ours was still good. Lol my sister said next time she wants her own sandwich. Lol So happy you tried Capriottis. For some reason the first time I watched this vlog, I didn't see you went to Capriottis! All the places you went to were worth it!

im grin ing not the food its your t- shirt back when there used to be the queens theater megadeath did a concert there for there peace sells but whos buying tour not to crowded it super awsome show do you remember ??? then so many years later megadeath came back for there album rust in peace an there did show seen some night club close to ward ave some side street there same place watched john mayal an the blues group too wonder if you know that night club back then ??

I didn't get to go to see them at Queen's Theater. Wow that's awesome that they played there. I only went to shows at a place called After Dark behind Eagle Café on Nimitz. I saw so many shows there every week like Slayer, Fugazi, etc. But the music scene died here. Not many concerts now days. I think Megadeth came here last year at the Republik but I had to work the next day so I couldn't go.

I remember that place on Nimitz! My friends and I were poor, so we went when Sepultura was performing and listened from outside! Igor Cavalera (drummer) came out to take a short break and we all shouted "Igor!" and he flashed us a shaka!

Got to give it to the people that run this state and government. But on the positive side, at least we can eat anything we want. Being in other countries, they don't have that opportunity.

All these sandwiches are very expensive. A sandwich should be cheap unless it has some expensive meat in it. “It’s a sandwich” 🤷🏻‍♂️. Subway is the way or foodland

@@p3ngi3 I'm not a haole. And actually part Kanaka even though you don't think I look like it. I will pay once a week to help local businesses. Was on food stamps as a kid and never ate out. As a young adult ate ramen and frozen food to get by. But now that I'm ok Ill help out local businesses and their workers. Have a goodnight.

@@FoodFiendI am also Kanaka, this means nothing. Don’t say price doesn’t mean anything. Not everyone can afford to eat at places serving 14 to 20+ dollar sandwiches when you’re doing better in life. Others may not be doing better but may feel like they should be able to afford it. Much aloha, but just think before you reply when doing local foodie spots.

I just like to show what our Island has to offer and try to stick to local businesses so they can thrive. Even if they expensive the workers need jobs too. If they go out of business it hurts everyone. It's expensive to run a business here and unfortunately it passed on to us, the consumer. Much Aloha.
