Your referees may give you a recommendation letter. A recommendation letter is usually used mainly for university applications, while a reference letter is primarily for employment. But technically, it could mean the same. If you are still unsure, please contact the study coordinator of the programme you intend to study. Kind regards. Nuel

If you are applying for a master's degree programme the basic certificate and transcripts of records you need to upload are those relating to your bachelors previous degree programme, any other qualification is just additional. Regards Nuel

What is the difference between IELTS and English Language proficiency? The IELTS certificate is an example of a certificate used to fulfil English language proficiency or to show that you have graduated within the last 2 years. Regards Nuel

The minimum requirement for the master's degree programmes at the University of Luxembourg is a bachelor's degree certificate, while the minimum requirement for a bachelor's degree is a high school certificate (e.g. WASSCE). Kind regards Nuel

Hi, based on my research and information I got from the admission department last year, if you are applying for a master's degree programme, you don't have to do the authentication before the online application; you need to upload your documents via the application portal. However, if you are successful, you will apply for the recognition of your foreign diploma (a register of certificates kept by the Higher Education Department in the Luxembourg Ministry of Higher Education and Research). Generally, once you secure admission, the university will send you information on the next steps. Please don't hesitate to email the admissions department (SEVE) if you need more information or clarification, and they will respond. All the best. Nuel.

Hi Nuel.. so my school says I can't be giving student copy of my transcript, but they have sent to Uni lu, although I haven't got confirmation of their receival, but I made a clear mail notifying the school of the sent Transcript, I also made a formal letter of Notice and uploaded it on the transcript upload page. please do you think it would be treated?

It is only the front page of your document that will show and if your document has a back page not blank, scan the back and merge it with the front and upload it

Thanks a lot for the information. Please a master's course states that in order to be exempt from TOEFL and IELTS your Diplom(Bsc Certificate) must have been obtained not more than 2yrs ago. If ones bachelor's certificate was obtained more than 2yrs ago, can the letter from ones university regarding teaching instruction plus another international english language test certificate not stated be enough?

You'll also need to read the specific requirements for the course you applied for. You don't expect me to talk specifically about more than 20 master programmes in one video. That is unrealistic. The video was designed to give you the primary and general information about the process that you should follow for a master's degree application; that does not mean that you should not read about the specific course requirements for the master's you are applying for, I am not going to do that for you, the onus is on you to do that. So next time, before you start your online application, you will need to read other things about the specific course you are applying for and get your documents ready. Note that certain courses may have some specific requirements that may not apply to other courses. Regards Nuel

Bro go and prepare for your exam, it's not really hard to write tho, make sure you don't cheat the system and you are alone in your room. Study passed questions that will help u get an insight on what you should expect. Not all course require GRE so next time read the course website and requirements before applying. As an international applicant, you must have all your documents ready by the time the application opens in Feb. If you are applying for a master's degree programme, you will just need to upload all your documents to the University of Luxembourg online admission portal, then if you are successful with your application, you will then register your degree (recognition of foreign diploma) with the Luxembourg Ministry of Education. As long as you did not study in high school in Luxembourg or the European Union if you want to study for a bachelor's degree programme at the university, you have to do it. You may contact the university admission office for more clarity. Nuel

For a master's degree application, you may upload an original copy of your documents as they are. Then, after you secure admission, you will have to apply for the academic recognition of foreign higher education diplomas. In other words, Register in the higher education section of the register of certificates. Once you have secured admission, the university will send a letter to you on the next steps. @@nuelonyedikaokpala I also want to ask if it is also advisable to legalize certificates before applying for recognition or before getting admission letter from the school, In other to avoid unnecessary delays that may arise during the process from the ministry of education or foreign affairs in Nigeria. Do you think it is better to wait for admission letter then proceed to legalize certificates. We don't know how long it takes to legalize certificates.

The documents to be uploaded are clearly listed in the programme you are applying for, and they will show those documents at some stage of your application; this is really easy to figure out. The minimum requirement is a second-class degree regardless of upper or lower. You need to fulfil the B2 English Language proficiency requirement ( watch my video on this). In some cases, if English is your native language, you may be exempted, and also, if you studied with the English language, there might be an exemption. But please email the admission department (SEVE) at the University of Luxembourg to get more specific clarity about English language proficiency before the application portal opens on Feb 1. Hi, thanks for your kind words. Firstly, when applying for a master's degree programme at the University of Luxembourg, choosing a course related to your first degree is advisable. Based on your previous academic background MSc Molecular Computational Biomedicine seems more ideal. Nevertheless, you are allowed to apply for three courses per applicant. 50 euros is the application fee per course; if applicable, you will be notified when you apply. The 200 euro is technically a registration fee per semester, and after you secure admission, you will be notified on how to pay that. Your admission letter will contain all the next steps. With your background in microbiology, a master's programme in molecular computational biomedicine seems a good fit. You can also apply for the International Master of Science in Biomedicine via the University of Strasbourg. You are allowed to apply for three different courses. Write a robust motivation letter and prepare a good CV. Give it your best shot and see what happens. No matter the outcome, every experience is a learning curve. You need a POF that covers your living expenses for one year. I have made a video on that. If you have any doubts, please visit the official website of the appropriate authority for more information. @@jahmammiii I did not say it is a guarantee that they must accept you, I only said that they consider that and that may increase your chances. However, you till need to meet other criteria, it is only the study department that will decide who will be accepted or not based on individual applications I cannot determine that. If you are applying for a course that is taught in various languages you have to show evidence of language proficiency in each of those languages, so chose wisely. Kind regards Nuel

If they ask you where you will stay during the study and you know you will stay at the university hostel, you may choose the university dormitory. However, if they ask you to add your current address, it should be where you reside at the time of the application. Kind regards Emmanuel

I dont understand what you mean by long story. You cannot tell me how to reply. 1. After successful graduation you can apply for work permit and after living in the country legally for certain number of years then you may be qualified to applied for naturalisation. 2. Students are allowed to work 15 hrs. per week during school session and if you are less than 17 years you can work full time during holidays. But everyone can work 15 hrs. per week during school regardless of your age. Regards Nuel

From my research, it should be in your account or your parents. But also if the person has been a resident of Luxembourg for at least one year. I don't have information about sponsors residing in another EU country. You can send an email to the Immigration Directorate Luxembourg. They will reply to you.
