Can we use the NIR LED panel in the early morning and before bed to increase melatonin production in the cells?

Thanks !! Great information. Wondering what the best time of day is to optimize NIR so as to avoid too much UVA/UVB? I try to get time outside before 10am. BTW, healthy mitochondria are vital to healthy aging according to aging researchers.

Quick search of your question online and lots of info. Not new subject. Also see Dr Hollick videos on best time to benefit by UVA/UVB rays. You prob know both have key health benefits. Mult studies incl large Swedish one over yrs not public. Need most of body exposed to at least moderate/level 3 UV rays (btw 11-3pm in gen but easy to find your area online) to make Vit D and benefit other ways - to skin just pink. After use protection ideally clothes to avoid chemicals. FWIW we’re bio electric beings: trillions of cells (electric charged) and bacteria + ~70-80% H20. Our understanding of microbiome (inside and skin) just starting. All good science retests studies mult times. Until then media/non researchers run with it and their interpretation. It’s best to also read studies and reports incl raw data used. Good sites and videos on how incl telling good ones from not. At min know abstracts prob not written by scientist and relative vs absolute risk red’n etc. You prob are aware of most of this. Cheers ✌️

I am confused! Can anyone shed some light 😏 on this: Dr. Scheult says that light boxes that help SAD do not produce infrared light. Yet later he says that if you are unable to be outside to get enough infrared light then you can employ a 10,000 lux light box. I understand there are infrared light box devices and I'm wondering why that was not mentioned. Thanks!

Older people do not produce melatonin in the cell or the pineal gland. Does supplemental melatonin, then work?
