Best hoodie I’ve ever had. I’ve worn it down to the low forties with a t-shirt underneath and was just fine. It excels when you are active.

Thanks for this video Tayson. It is just what I needed, I have it in my pack as an in camp warmth layer for my upcoming hike. The XXL is 9.1 ounces and I was tossing up leaving it home, temperatures look like they will be in the 50’s at night. During the day I will be wearing my Altitude and also bringing my Tern Hoodie. I saw a review of the LoftTek Adventure Jacket a while ago by TheOutdoorGearReview that put me off from buying jackets from you guys, but I have not found many bad things said about the Ventus. My guess is you guys had some early issues with manufacturers and some learning experiences along the way. Definitely considering buying this at some point.

He did have a first run jacket but he also never has anything good to say about Outdoor Vitals in general.

@@outdoorvitals I generally put a lot of stock in his opinions. Maybe he has some valid points that could be addressed at some point.

I like and trust the OutdoorGearReview, but in this instance felt he did the jacket a disservice. I've used my LoftTek in some REALLY cold conditions with but a T shirt without the cold being a problem. In fact, I frequently end up having to take it off after I've been walking in it awhile, even in temps into the 30s (yes, I run hot, but still.. the coat's effective!). It's a terrific highly compressible coat to keep in a pack against the need. I concur with Luke here though: the damned pit zippers make wearing the loftek with shortsleeves uncomfortable. I own 2 of Outdoor Vitals raincoats (mine, m'wife's), a Dragonwool shirt (also too warm for all but deep winter wear) and the Loftek and have been really pleased with the quality of each. I'm currently trying to decide if I want the Vario -- but I'm pretty big through chest and shoulders and the raincoat (L) fits REALLY snugly.. hoping the Vario isn't as close-cut.

Why do you talk about your product and not show it worn so we can get a view of it. I'm interested in seeing if the hood design meets critical face protection use. This presentation is a failure.
