I have the AC180. How does it run? I see the max 12v output is 10A on the AC180. Does it create a fault?

Neat unit. And great the power source can operate it that long. Those are heaters are becoming quite popular. But it’s not new technology. Road tractor trucks have used them for years. A buddy of mine has one hooked up in his 1/2 ton. But a great thing Jason. Have a great day. Thankfully hurricane Lee is gone.

I think they are being used in lobster/scallop boats. I think I saw one mounted in the bed of a sxs too with the heater hose piped into the cab. Great video. Very interesting

Yes, when I was researching I saw some “through hull” exhaust fittings. Would be great on a boat. Might be good on SxS too but would want to take care where the exhaust ran… she gets quite hot!

Hey Jason, my brother in law just bought the unit that you can install inside, something similar to what is installed in trucks, he has a travel trailer and he is hoping to get a little longer out of his trailer here in NL. We usually have a nice fall but the evenings are cool so he is hoping the heater will work for him. Hope that Lee missed you guy's, it is warm here we had a little rain and some wind, nothing we can't handle.

There are a lot of power outages in NB. We only lost ours for about 4 hrs here so very lucky. I think NS got hit the hardest! These little heaters are amazing!

She’s a honey for the money! I saw a video from the UK where they are heating homes with it… unit is outside in a water proofed metal box and heater hose runs inside. Fuel is cheaper than electricity there right now???

I’ve been using this same unit for 3 weeks in a tent, I leave the unit outdoors between-10 to -15c and so far my Ecoflow Delta 2 starts it every time, I did buy a 120 to 12v 15 amp converter to plug in my 120 outlet on the Delta but the 12v plug works just fine, the unit does not even get close to drawing 15 amps, I can tell you at those temperatures it’s not driving me out of my tent it can get it to 6c wide open

nice review, thanks. Did you consider installing it outside and running the heat duct inside instead of installing inside with exhaust routed out the window?
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 10 ай бұрын
Hi Yves, I did think about that. I wanted to trial the unit first to see the capabilities. I have seen some videos where they are putting them in metal boxes outside that are somewhat waterproof and then porting the heater duct into the structure. Not sure if I'm going to go there at this point or not... I just got all of that nice siding on my sugar shack! Take care, Jason.

Hi there. For this video, I mounted the exhaust that comes with the unit inside a 4" metal vent pipe. I just built a flat metal cover for the end of the 4" pipe and pushed the "tail pipe" through it... This seems to work great and keeps the hot exhaust away from any combustibles.

Hi Robert, I ordered a regulated transformer from Amazon. ASIN # is B010CVIW7E and brand is Henxlco. You will also need a 110v power cord. Connect your 12v wire and 110v cord into the transformer. Hope this helps.

My heater sometimes gives me an E01 error. I have to start it again. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I suspect it is because of the 10 amp limit of the DC. Is there something I can doe? (Thicker cables or something)
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 5 ай бұрын
I haven't seen that error. I'm not an electrician but I didn't plug my unit into the DC side of my power pack. I bought a 110V to 12V converter on amazon and wired it up to plug into the AC side of my power pack which gives me the 15 amp requirement.

I have the AC180 and I was wondering if a Vevor heater could be run directly from the 12v outlet? I believe I've read the heater uses 10amp at startup and the 12v plug has a 10amp max. So I'm not sure if it would cause a fault on the AC180...
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 8 ай бұрын
Hi, on my heater, there is a little yellow tag on the power cord that notes 12 V power supply greater than 15 amps. I didn't want to cause a fault on my Bluetti as the 12V plug notes a 10 amp supply. I chose to purchase a cheap converter from Amazon to convert 110 V AC to 12 V DC and a short cord with conventional plug on the end. This way, I could plug right into an outlet on the Bluetti. ASIN from Amazon is B010CVIWBK for the converter and B07BQ8MRKR for the cord. Hope this helps, Jason.

@Oak Mountain Acotts, Hello what is the difference between your unit being Horizontal vs Vertical..................is it just the form factor???? Thank you!!!
@OakMountainAcotts

Can you not just plug the diesel heater into the 12v DC lighter socket?
@OakMountainAcotts
@OakMountainAcotts 9 ай бұрын
It depends on the amperage of your lighter socket. The heater needs 15 amps I believe… My power pack has a 10 amp lighter socket but I didn’t try it…. The heater pulls about 250 watts when it first starts to warm the combustion chamber. Once it warms up, it uses about 50 watts.
