The idea that a hybrid Gorn ship should look literally reptilian runs counter to established Gorn visual language in STO which is mostly just complex, gently curved, and utilitarian, and it's also kind of a wacky idea in general. Imagine if human ships aesthetically incorporated human-looking bits like a nose-shaped nose or finger nacelles :D

Aren’t the gorn apart of the Klingon empire? In Star Trek online sometime after 2379 the Klingons conquered the gorn hegemony

yes the gorn are in the empire .i currently for the KDF recruit event i made a Gorn character 23rd century style

I think Captain Foley would LOVE the Kamarag-clsss Klingon battlecruiser so I would really like to see a video where he reacts to that. Imagine if the D7 and the Vor'cha had a baby that was born in the modern STO timeline. It's really quite sleek, simple, and beautiful in my opinion.

This update for the Vor'cha is lovely. Really taking the Klingon aesthetic and advancing it to the next step. @Trekyards I would love for you guys to do a comparison video of all the Galaxy-class variants that they've made in STO as they all seem to be altered for various mission profiles in addition to being an Exploratory Cruiser.

The wings on the back of the pod looks like a detachable flyer/raider type ship, this is one of my favourites from STO. I always liked the Vor'cha and usually use that "skin" but occasioally I go back to this look, in the game they now have extra colour sets for it and there is a black/charcoal version that looks nice as well as tos D-7 variants. Pity you didn't have those to compare for you're multi-ship profile since they could alter how it looks to better match the fleet for a tv feel.

My first impression is almost a crossover thought: Cobra Commander meets Klingons. Taking that one more step, the wings give it a "feathered serpent" feeling to it.

I really hope you guys do a video about the 11th anniversary Klingon Romulan alliance ship. It's really cool it's a bird of prey with a hammerhead and when in attack mode, the wings go up rather than down!

It reminds me of a chicken. the fin/ landing strut on the head makes it look like a chickens skin under the beak.

this is super awesome Klingon ship....would definitely buy if from eaglemoss once it comes out....it has Vor'cha and K'tinga shapes and feels...since this is STO i bet that the special weapon of the ship makes that thing in the spine move towards the head or the back , according to what you want it to do...the paint scheme is like a snake , a cobra , i would make the warp engines tilt a bit forwards to downwards to make them straight , but other than that...thats one beefy ship

The vor'ral is the successor/upgrade to the vor'cha in sto, much as the andromeda class is the successor/redesign of the galaxy class.

The "head" reminds me of a callback to either the sarcophagus ship or the neghvar. I like the "goatee."

I really like the design, but IMHO the center part of the hull at the back needs to be thicker. Being so thin makes it feel more like a frigate or destroyer. I think the bottom of where the neck connects to the hull could be better - maybe have a steeper angled surface there to break up the smooth/rounded shapes. I think the bottom front part of the nacelles would look better if the red part was inset a bit more. I'd like the back of the nacelles more if the bottom red part had the same angle as the top. Just my 2 cents - it's a fantastic design.

Regarding Sam's comment about Gorn-Klingon alliance, in the lower/back story leading up to Star Trek online, the Klingons actually conquered and basically enslaved the Gorn to a degree. Yes that's right- in STO the Gorn are a subjugated servitor race of the Klingon Empire now. So, if they helped to build the Vor'ral, it definitely wasn't by choice.

alot of the STO kdf designs are Hit or miss depending on your personal taste but this one hits the mark though in my personal opinion

Man, i don't know what to think of this ship. It goes a bit all over the spectrum. I think I would like it a bit more if not so much Nacelle mass was so far aft, like the ship is dragging those Nacelle's around. Bit more forward would probably bring the D7 Stingray feel a bit more back. Also the front bit with the torpedo launcher feels a bit to much Apple / Hal9000 to me. Very D7, but I think i like the set back, pincer aesthetic of the Vorcha more. Somewhere a bit disappointed they didn't went that route, because they almost have a similar pincher in it.

Picard doesn't use STD shuttles because of retro-sleek. They do it out of desperation to legitimize STD... that or just incompetence.

Very cool but the color looks off. Maybe do overall green-gray instead of patches of green that look like algea, unless this thing hid under water because captain JJ Abrams loves to swim his starships either underwater or in cloud-decks of planets.

Some would say this is a more beefed up version of the Vorcha since the Vorcha was designed with the intention being many thing from a flagship to attack cruiser with the advantage of its modularity trait.

That pod is I believe is the Quantum Slipstream projector since almost all modern Klingon ships (cruisers and up) have that with a more or less similiar design. Could also be secondary command pod. In this case it's harkening back to the Vor'chas forward bridge module. The Vor'ral is in lore, the 3rd iteration of the Vor'cha design afterall.

afaik the Vor'ral is a support ceuiser tho, not Bttlecruiser. but regardless, imo its one of the better looking Klink ships, the Vor'cha and Neg'var look ok but never liked them to muxh in compariso to the Bortasqu or Martok Battlecruisers. hope u guys will cover more STO ships, the, have a ton of interresting and talkworthy ships for all factions ^^

Ooooh, I hadn't thought about the scaley gorny thing... In STO the Gorn were infiltrated by the 8472 and Qo'nos invaded as a response, so the Gorn are now part of the Empire. This ship came a decade or so later, so that makes some sense. The mission pods all do look like they could move. Lol, they don't but they could! Because it's part of the Vorcha heritage (Support Battlecruiser) you can use those materials and schemes too! Can you guys do a review for the best ship designs for/from my favorite anime Series, the Gundam Franchise...? I think it would be a good stretch of experience for you guys to reach into the anime genre of ships... Also, what would you guys say about collaborating with Spacedock for a view of the greatest battles from the franchise...? Let me know. T,T
