First time I ever saw water slide Image Transfer....it was on the tins of a Harley-Davidson.It was put on...then air-brushed with detail around the image...then done in MASSIVE DETAIL with an air-brush ...and when it was all said and done.....I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY FOR REAL. It ended up with a BEAUTIFUL ANGEL scene...alot of graphic detail...crosses and smaller angels around....and then all detailed to high hell.One of the BEST DAMN AIIR-BRUSH / PAINT-JOBS that I have ever ,ever saw on a motorcycle,and that's for damned sure !!!!!!!!!!!! Man,I sooooo wished that I could air-brushwith any talent at all....LMAO Man, This turned out AWESOME IMO.....NICELY DONE...and a KILLER IDEA AS WELL to start with.Love the whole Image transfer thing along w/ that SPUN SILVER LEAF......It ALL looks good together...and all seems to blend nicely too...and all be in wonderful harmony as well....and as an ARTIST...WE ALL KNOW THAT THOSE WORDS ARE A BEAUTIFUL THING WHEN REFERING TO YOUR PROJECT / IDEA / etc...... STAY SAFE OUT THERE YA'LL....GOD BLESS....AND ENJOY YOUR DAY/EVENING...depending on where ya are in the ol world !!!!....PEACE

MD in the house. Jus a Lil late! Adam your the chit man. U have me buying supplies to teach myself some panel painting so I can do my own bike. Hopefully catching the eyes of potential customers while I'm out on it. Baby steps!

Have you used clear water transfer yet? Really helps with those hard edges, the stuff I used to use would melt into the clear so you could use it with candies on top and keep any flake or metallic underneath.

Gustav Dore. He did mostly woodcuts for book illustrations, this one is from the bible. My favorites are his works for Dante's Inferno and Rime of the ancient mariner

As long as your metal flaking out, you can go straight to Black base coat

Hey there Chief. Switch to a Epson Ink Jet printer. Epson inks do not falter, smudge, or smear in, or so around water.

You don’t have to wait as long as the water as evaporated

can you do this on a epoxy river table set up?

you can, but depending on transfer type you may need to experiment. He tends to use a white transfer so it won't much matter. I use a clear transfer and if I don't spray with a catalyzed clear it won't melt the transfer and embed seamlessly. Just a can lacquer tends to not obsorb into the transfer media and it doesn't look very nice and also scared me about adhesion.
