You may have misunderstood pops. He might have been blown away, as I was, that the gov't was able to convince people to give up so much freedom. I'm +60yr and I was shocked. He pressed Pops on this and Pops said he wouldn't hesitate to require his employees to get the shots. But he didn't get them himself because my mother is also extremely against them. There's nothing to forgive. There are just very differing views of the world. And that's not going to change. I have spent the last four years preparing, mostly financially with real money.

Russ said "you can't [cost] cut your way to prosperity." That's the only way. You can't satisfy your need for money by increasing costs. Cutting costs means finding cheaper alternatives. More efficient ways of doing things. So, growing your own food. Obviously, you need land for that, but there you go, an investment that decreases costs long term.

I got sick of the constant repetition of that the Fed is incompetent a long time ago and this is the first guy I remember seeing agreeing with that; they know what they are doing and they dont give a monkeys about the little guy or anyone else but the crony's; which is why I have been out of it eating popcorn since 2010 - and I've done alright even doing nothing but cruising. Higher interest rates are not bad for gold short term, UNTIL after the interest rate rises higher than the real rate of inflation. Of course, we all know they will print more currency, which is bullish for gold long term.

When you don't trust the banks to hold your cash, because they waste it on buying government bonds at an insanely low yield, where do you put your cash? You put it in government bonds, just like what happened in Europe during the 2008 GFC, because you can afford to Hold to Maturity. Banks cannot Hold to Maturity, because they must immediately redeem depositors' withdrawals. The banks must use the Bank Term Funding Program (BTFP), which just another name Quantitative Easing (QE), which is another name for currency counterfeiting.

But anything is better than nothing when it comes to soon-to-be-worthless fiat currency. By all accounts, silver is the best bet right now, it being much more affordable. It's a gift, due to increasing demand v decreasing supply. Even though Mike has said he will not buy silver until the gold/silver ratio is at least 100:1, because it is mined out of the ground at around at 8:1 to gold (according to Keith Neumayer, CEO of 1st Majestic Mining Corp) as a bi-product, currently priced at around 90:1 ratio, (buying you 90 1oz silver coins to every 1 oz gold coin) it seems a great opportunity for investment. I hold both, but looking to buy more Ag soon.

Actually the better investment in my opinion is silver. Gold throughout history has a ratio of how much it is worth against silver. Check it out, it’s a interesting story. Now it’s higher than 80 to 1, historically 20 to one is closer to normal. So I buy silver until the ratio goes back down then I’ll convert some.

I was able to get gold back when it was around $2020.00. that was back in 2011 - 2012. I put the gold on layaway and made payments on it till it was paid off.
