Quick update video to share with you why we haven't being working on any projects and how we are feelings physically after contracting Covid19. Our entire family of 5 got sick. The kids recovered much quicker than we did. We all experienced many of the same symptoms however, there is one particular symptom that only Josh and I had and it just so happens to be the only one that is not only sticking around but could last for months...

Got your own little off gridder family around the globe and country. And we subbies are all your extended family. Keeping it Dutchie is in the tribe too. Sandra Westley no Josh looks decidedly washed out, so glad your young and healthy. Our neighbours have been ill for 8 weeks they are coming up the hill now out of hospital hopefully for Christmas but he’s been much worse than his wife, which is strange as he was slim and she is very over weight got diabetes and asthma, he’s lost so much weight she’s had to go. Buy him some jogging pants because nothing fits, but that’s the difference with age, they are both in there 70tys, so they are lucky to be alive.

@@robwestley7370 All depends on the immune system, and I would think proper treatment too. Some are just more susceptible than others, regardless of age. It is good though that the young and very young seem to do so much better. It'd be so hard to be parents if the kids got very sick in addition to yourself.

I'm way over in Scotland, live in the city (glasgow), will never likely build my own house, but I'm glued to your channels, and I was utterly gutted when I read the heading for this one. I really hope you all recover completely, and get your senses back soon. Just think how many people you have rooting for you all over the world. All the very best.

We had the same experience with COVID-19. We lost our taste and smell for a few weeks but have recovered.

So sorry for the sickness and glad you are getting better. I had the same thing and it took me 3 weeks to recover. Pretty much the exact same symptoms. I lost 30 lbs. It wasn;'t the worse I ever had but it wasn't a cake walk either.... Glad we are the 99.9% who recover!!! Love your videos by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I`ve gone through Covid about two moths ago and had loss of smell and taste for about 1,5 month. Pretty sh..ty stuff. Stay safe, stay healthy guys!!!

I was in an accident 25 years ago which razed the nerves in my head that transmits smell. Since then I haven’t smelled anything. My taste has been diminishing ever since. It’s something you get used to, but still sad. I hope yours comes back soon. Your family is in my prayers. Glad you are all getting better.

You poor guys. I am so sorry that you got infected with the virus, and feel unwell. A blessing is that none of you got that pneumonia from the virus, as that is the main reason that people get killed. Get well soon, and take care of each other. I am so sorry that you all caught Covid. My wife and I caught Covid, but, luckily, our kids didn't. Take care of yourselves! I caught it back in July and I didn't get my taste back until November. My wife caught it about 3 weeks ago and she still can't taste anything. Rest when you can and just keep moving forward!
