I found a tub of Geo F Trumper Limes under my bed and I hadn't used it for 4 or 5 years. It looked dry and cracked but I'd watched Don Youngner aka Wet The Face showing how to lather, so I bloomed the dry cream and did a 15 second load in my brush, then went to my shaving mug, and within 45 seconds I had the thickest, most gloriously scented lather which gave me the most fantastic shave. I can tell you, if you buy Trumpers and put that little bit of time into working the lather, you will not be disappointed, it's fabulous!

Pink was associate with males and blue with females at the turn of the 20th century. There was a flip after WWII. Also parents would also dress their toddler boys to have photographs made of them. Much of the tradition of sex assigned colors and garments (especially for toddlers) only has come about relatively recently.

Nope,absolutly Blue was always intended for males because ancients greeks used for good luck for newborn boys ,Blue related to Zeus ,Sky ,Olympus.

Hi USA, I always use the GFT and it is super. George Trumper is one of the UKs oldest and most traditional companies. Use it, you can't go wrong. from The UK

No,Blue was used since ancients time by the greeks for the newborn males, It was related to zeus .

No doubt you have been really busy. Having used the knowledge from your channel I have already saved a lot of $ on my shaving bills and have gotten everyone in my family (and many others) to switch to double edge shaving. With that saved money I decided to treat a couple of my razors to your revamp service so that I can pass on a quality razor to my son when he begins to shave. He will never have to spend over a decade of pain using cartridge razors like a lot of us thanks to your videos.

Hi Matt, thank you for the video. My question is regarding the soap (puck) version. I’ve seen videos where people are saying that they can’t get a rich lather with puck version of Geo F Trumper, why is that? They say it stays soapy with bubbles and I can’t find a video that demonstrates or explains why that is. An you please help? Thanks.

The classic English shaving scents are my *absolute favorite* but I only buy the creams like TOBS, Truefitt&Hill, DR HARRIS etc. I’ve heard a lot of the traditional English soaps have that problem, especially since most of them switched their soap from tallow to vegetable based. Like Truefitt&Hill triple milled soap pucks have been known to lather poorly. The only classic English scent triple milled hard puck soap I’ve used is the *DR HARRIS Arlington* soap puck that comes in the Beach wood bowl. Whether it’s their cream or soap DR HARRIS lathers amazing! It’s a triple milled hard puck and performs and smells great. But I know they were using tallow for their soap bases at the time I bought it. All the English shaving creams perform amazing though, even if some of the formula changed vegan based soap pucks do not. I can’t speak for any triple milled soap puck except DR HARRIS to be fair. But the English creams are my absolute favorite… they perform well while having some of the most refined scents on the planet IMO and they give great shaves with a good value.

A distinction should be made. You’re actually using the shaving cream not the shaving soap. The shaving cream lathers well, the soap does not. But agreed the scents are amazing.
