There is only one problem !!! Everything in the Old Testament was to prefigure Jesus the Messiah Mary his mother and even Joseph. Jesus supersedes everything in the Old Testament. So unless you learn to love your enemies then you are not in compliance with what Jesus Christ wants but with the Old Law. It's the new law the New Covenant that gets us into heaven King David is not going to get you into heaven unless you learn the way of the cross your future looks bleak

Even Jesus showed his wrath against the money changers that were manipulating people by ripping off the pilgrims who were coming to pay their respects at the temple. Ephesians 4:26 KJV Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Clearly the bible is saying it is not a sin to be angry at evil.

@@josephcade3541 Here is a Truth for you. Marcion the heretic came up with a terminology Old Testament. When Paul told Timothy that ALL SCRIPTURE is profitable for doctrine, reroof and teachings righteousness in 1AD, guess what?! The gospels and the epistles were not compiled yet. So guess what? Paul was speaking about Torah and Tanakh, you incorrectly call Old Testament and here is a bigger Truth. Messiah Yeshua quite clearly stated in Matthew 7; 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS.’ So, knowing His name and casting demons in His Name YET practicing LAWlessness will be an automatic denial to Kingdom of God. Guess what LAWlessness IS? It’s breaking God’s commandments. What IS breaking God’s commandments? A transgression>Sin. 1 John 3:4; Sin IS >the transgression of the Law; whoever commits sin is also transgressing The Law.” If there was no circumcision of the heart that leads to Trust that leads to Abiding in Heavenly Father’s Word your FAITH IS DEAD 💀 James 1; 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness THE IMPLANTED WORD, >>which is able to save your souls. 22 But be DOERS of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a DOER, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and CONTINUES IN IT, and is not a forgetful hearer but a DOER of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. James 2; 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe-and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD?

This HAS been very difficult; you are right. I have asked myself many times: "what does 'honoring my father' look like when he is a narcissist"? The best answer I have come to is to pray for him, for his good, for his heart...all from a distance. I try to keep poison at bay by not disparaging him to others (except maybe my therapist and my husband). This is a difficult command to wrap my head around and still stay in a place of safety and trust.

Dear Lucilia, I struggled with your exact comment "The most difficult thing is to honor thy father and thy mother" If you have a moment look at KJV Psalm 27 1:10 When my Father and my Mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. Any rational person can clearly see the depth of brainwashing, moral extortion, and perversion that all religions share. They can not escape their own sin. False worship is all worship and all worship is corrupt, false worship. No method exists to determine correct worship... god left that part out of the bible so fakers have filled the vacuum with their own notions of worship. The first commandment has every thing to do with not worshiping and never demands sinners to worship him.... only Satan does that.

They are trying to get a reaction out of you, to make you angry , to make you fall. Don't fall for their manipulative tactics. I haven't encountered religious narcissists at church but I have some at work, evil people who will twist scriptures to suit their agenda. Best not to say anything when they are doing that- they believe everything they say is right- they just are trying to start an argument- to test you- don't fall for it. I PRAY THAT GOD WILL BLESS MY ENEMIES. It's laying the problem at the cross and JESUS taking care of it. People say not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and expecting your enemies to die. The bible is a pit of vipers and using it as a crutch to justify and validate any thing is pathetic. We have senses and brains and a lot of access to diverse data. The best defense is a good offense so with narcissists you have to put your self up front, ahead of any thing they ever say or do and never accept their lies. Assume every one you meet is a Narcissist and then modify your assessment of them as they present their personality to you. Narcissists have no long term plans beyond discarding you and if they share their goals with you they are grandiose and purely fabrication... like the bible.

What’s the proof that the Pharisees in the 4 Gospels in the New Testament were toxic narcissists? Christ said a long speech in Matthew 21 about the hypocrisy of the Pharisees- and narcissists are habitual hypocrites with so many pathetic even illogical double standards Also Christ mentioned a parable about the arrogant Pharisee in the way he prayed in the temple to God about how perfect he was that offends God (self righteous snotty prayer) - as opposed to the humble contrite publican who prayed the right way to God that pleases God (with humility and remorse ) And yes narcissists are arrogant ! Christ detests arrogance and hypocrisy in the Gospels

Well articulated biblical verses on narcissism and narcissistic traits. Actually, there are a lot of narcissistic personalities in the Bible. Most concretely of narcissistic personality and behavior in the Bible are the religious powers and authorities in Jesus’ time: the Pharisees, the sadducees, the Scribes, the elders and high priests and priests. Their relationship with the empathetic Christ was nothing but narcissistic. Indeed, today there are not just hypocritical characters in religion but there are a lot of narcissistic personalities in religious circles. Thanks for the exposition and insights.

@@WisdomVersebyVerse The New Age is a breeding ground for narcissism. I did some deep healing after 36 years of narcissist abuse from parents, partners, friends and my psychotherapist. When I came out of that, I was then lured into lucifer's lair....sucked into the self-love, self-empowerment, self-actualisation ideologies....with all sorts of so-called "spiritual" people claiming to heal others and manifest their own reality. God was never mentioned. Promoters of the "spiritual" New Age movement encourage you to see yourself as a god and teach you how to create/command your own reality. As a result, innocent and well-meaning people get corrupted and start developing a spiritual arrogance akin to a narcissist. I noticed this in myself and others, and I was repelled by it when I realised. That made me question the New Age "spiritual" movement so deeply, to the point where I cried out to God for the truth and admitted that I couldn't heal myself by myself. Praise God He answered my cry for help and saved from all the New Age nonsense and twisted "spiritual" ideologies. Jesus is the truth and the only way. Only Jesus heals.

Great job Jill, right on target. There are many Bible references concerning narcissism. James (chpt. 3 i believe) talks about envy and selfish ambition (which of course also describes narcissism). This wisdom comes from beneath (debase, of the lowest nature) is earthly, sensual, demonic. Jezebel and Ahab were also examples of covert and overt narcissism. Jezebel being the over aggressive brazen vindictive evil one, Ahab being the weak, bellyaching, selfish victim and coward, working in conjunction with each other for the sheer purpose of evil and selfish gain at any cost including the lives of innocent people. Many verses in the Psalms (35 for one off the top of my head) and Proverbs also. The tares among the wheat are also the planting of the devil's agents among the good. New testament also tells us in the last days evil men and seducers will become worse and worse, and we are witnessing just that.

This video is amazing! I knew God would reveal all to me! My faith is atrenghtened and, my prayers have been answered! God does not intend for any of His children to go through this type of evil in this world. The Holy Word confirms this! Thank you so much!😊❤🙏

Very impressed that you articulated that there are people within the church who are narcissists. I was aware that sociopaths often inhabit he church, but what you have said about narcissists must also be true, and you are the first I've heard say it. And you said it very well too.

Mathew 10:36 "..and a mans foes shall be they of his own household". I just saw the 1956 hollywood film "The Bad Seed" and it is a theme that examines incarnate evil. My older brother and mother, they were the narcs in my life that defeated me. My dad was, too. Thank you for this post. I'm just waking up to this stuff. Awesome!! I need help. I'll email you. Thanks again, Jill.

Thank you for this inportant, direct, and related topic. I used proverbs to learn to forgive myself and learn it was right to walk away. The Bible has and will forever be my counselor. Every answer to any question is in that Book. Best to memorize if they ever take His Word away.

This is so validating. For years I was so confused. The worst narcissistic abused I ever endured was from an Evangelical pastor. He got his supply from his followers and congregants. He was manipulative, controlling and mean to me

Excellent scripture references. Thank you. Sadly they are statements of truth and wisdom that I should have taken note of more than 20 years ago when I fell victim to a narcissistic woman who I ended up married to. A true and life destroying illustration of my own naivety.

Proverbs 29:9 (Amplified version) also reminds me of the narcissist. “If a wise man has a controversy with a foolish and arrogant man, the foolish man [ignores logic and fairness and] only rages or laughs, and there is no peace (rest or agreement). This scripture has helped me to understand the futility of trying to reason with a narcissist.
