What I love most about Mark's sketches are 1) You never know when he'll drop them. They could show up early on in the video, or towards the end, so you're always caught off guard, and 2) He always comes in with his own random agendas that completely mess with the original scenes. Never stop doing them, Mark.

I discovered this channel right before my daughter was born, and the first video I watched was a Neil Breen movie. The movie started out with two kids, and one part he was talking about was the camera man laughing. I lost my shit and laughed so hard I got high-pitched. So, a few days later, she was born, and I was living off buffalo chicken tenders, monster energy drinks, and fanboyflicks. I was off from work for two weeks on paternity leave, and i binge watched every episode. I'd say that was probably a time frame where I wish I could go back and do it all over again. So now I go a few months of not watching, and then I'll binge watch every episode I missed. (Been doing those for 2 years now.)

Seeing this remake really makes you appreciate how good Beverley Garland and Lee Van Cleef were. Their performances really elevated the original beyond just sci fi schlock.

Dang, this was one of the first "bad movies" I ever made fun of. We loved it! I remember how most of it took place in that guy's living room or whatever, with everyone's backs to the camera because they were talking into the radio. Good times!

Zontar was really a nice guy. I'm glad you were able to see through the poor writing to uncover this nugget. I have a short story based on their love. I may someday produce it. I think it would be awesome.

This one hits weirdly close to home for me. I watch the MST3k It Conquered the World pretty often. There is so much overlap between the two. It honestly benefits from a touch up, I am pretty forgiving but the alien would have been bad for a theater performance much less a film. A lot of the scenes are pretty much the same between the two films otherwise.

All I can say is that I've recently moved into a home originally built in 1962 and it has a very mid-century modern design and vibe. So, I've been remodeling to suit the place and this movie is a real gem. Just look at those curtains at 1:55. BTW, that is a S&W Model 29 .44 Magnum at 10:53, a real classic.

Dude this entire video I had a memory of this movie tickling the back of my mind. I know I'd never seen it though. However, I have seen the SCTV skit many times as a child lol. That was weird putting it together in the end.

Another awesome video Mark! I like the original Lee Van Cleef and Peter Graves version with the pickle monster better. Watching the original I actually feel horrified by people in the town being controlled. Not so much with this one, but this one is quite weird and cheesy in its own way.

I had to look up the theatrical ad for this and apparently it was a TV movie and debuted on Dec. 26, 1967 as ZONTAR, THE LIVING THING FROM VENUS.

So you just put your radio equipment you talk with space aliens in a closet and cover it with a curtain so no one knows what you are up to and thus won't keep calling you crazy. It's brilliant!
