I went into this movie expecting to roll my eyes at the Satanic panic but didn’t expect to be moved by many of the performances. Each of the characters had a moment where I really felt for them. Tom’s character was very tragic. The way he switched to delusion was chilling and sad. It had nothing to do with Satanism or dnd at all but mental illness, which it explored quite well, given its intention.

So if I remember correctly. Both Matrix movies (the original & most recent one) represent different eras. The original movie represented a good era when people had these good/great ideas and movie companies were accepting them. And the most recent one represents a bad era, where movie companies are greedy and only care about making the most 💵 possible, as well as making unnecessary sequels to great movies, without the creators’ consent.

So the r*pe scene is suppose to be a forced gang bang. She was down with sleeping with the guy not the two other guys… I had to look it up online becuz I was confused about it too, that’s what it was it was referring to but wasn’t portrayed very well in the scene. I actually don’t find this movie that bad, especially after working in that industry for 10 yr, it’s actually sort of relatable to me 😂. But to the whole wide world they wouldn’t get it. It’s very chaotic, catty, and cut throat. I would say this film is a very niche audience it would appeal to. So I get why everyone thought it was bad. The sex scene though, is the worst thing ever 💀 that we can all agree on.

when I was a kid this movie was epic

Rick Baker did some of the creature makeup & might have designed the suit as well. But this edited TV print which has been used for every home video release over the last 35 years or so is murky looking making it difficult to get a detailed look at the monster suit, especially during night time shots. Most of Rick's makeup for the gore scenes are extensively edited too. One day hopefully this movie will be released on DVD/Blu-ray fully restored & fully uncut.

You should get the medal of Valor for watching this!
