The Volcanic Pistol is actually my go-to sidearm in RDR2.

The mauser in rdr1 is literally a minigun, so glad they nerfed it.

I personally love the Schofield revolver, it's just such a good little pistol especially dual wielding and maintains that more classical western theme

Easily the Mauser for me, you can get two of them by the time you're feeding the rich italian to the alligators. He throws one at John Marston in a cutscene, and you can come back and grab it from his mansion. You get the other from Billy Midnight.

For me, I like the Mauser. It looks cool, it sounds nice, it’s fun to hip fire, it feels satisfying to aim, it feels satisfying to shoot, and it has a really good clip capacity.

The thing is for most fighting the best are shotguns or rifles, so just using arthur's or john's main revolvers is always the best choice
