@Big Daddy its a term, often used in anime, where they show the audience something appealing instead of doing anything of value. in anime its usually panty shots or playing off a characters sex appeal (what WWE used to do), in other media its often playing to nostalgia (for example in WWE having a legend show up, say a famous line, and then go away without adding anything to the story)

@@_meangreenjersey973 and when will people like you accept the fact that of all people they had TRIPLE H, a guy who by and large was NOT a major contributor to WWF’s success to the attitude era and them beating WCW Pinning Sting at Mania? Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker, Kane, DX as a group, Mankind, Vince, Chyna and such were all major players but Trips was more just a coattail rider jumping from one faction to the next riding another’s success and power instead of his own If it was Undertaker people wouldn’t be mad, but ultimately it was Triple H and came off more of Vince just having another of ‘his’ guys showing him beating WCW again

I went and watched this again and it DOES NOT go down as presented. It's an odd sell; Ax plays dazed like a fighter who doesn't realize they were KOed before rolling out of the ring and pleading his case with another referee. There was no time to doddle as it was a 4 or 4 elimination match. Saying he stood up and walked out while showing a clip from the match (which I presume was actually watched) is sadly fake news from a "reputable wrestling content" provider.

Rob Gable IKR? It's not even worth watching WWE anymore. NXT (the only WWE I've paid any attention to in at least 5 years) was easily the best thing about it, now they're trying to kill it! FFS!!! WWE has really gone to shit, their management has no clue, except when it comes to ripping off their fans and their wrestlers. Better off watching AEW, Impact, NJPW, RoH, etc. where wrestlers have a much better chance of achieving their full potential. Case in point; Tommy End aka Malakai Black.

Do you honestly think Punk, Cole, Soho, and Danielson would have gotten the reactions in AEW that they had if they gone to work for, say, Impact instead of WWE? There are so many upsides to working at WWE just from exposure even for talent further down the card.

Gail Kim does not get nearly enough credit. She (and others) went on to have the highest rated segments each week on Impact, which allowed HHH to get serious with the women's division in NXT which finally trickled up to Raw and Smackdown. Becky and Bianca don't main event at Wrestlemanias if she doesn't leave WWE.

Part of Bill Eadie's departure also was that he had some health issues & thought his heart was messed up. That's eventually what led to bringing Crush in later, but when Eadie found out he was fine, WWF ended up not bringing him back for whatever reason. Guessing that plus what the video highlighted were what finally made him stop caring.

People say wrestling fans are dumb cause they boo like everyone. But to me they seem really simple. It’s all the same with Cena , Goldberg , Lesnar , etc. Nobody wants a bulletproof wrestler , at least in WWE. They all were over exposed by the time they started getting booed. The only exception I can think of is The Fiend and he didn’t get a chance to become overexposed , he was more so booed in his match against Rollins because of the finish , which was actually kinda indicating they refused to let Rollins lose like he should’ve , putting him on the brink of overexposure. Ronda , she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time for the most part. But also remember she was brought in and immediately pushed over more popular talent , and nobody respected it. That was also , in some capacity , part of the problem fans took with her.

@@mjstory1976 Wcw was great until 2000, anyways the argument that Steiner always brings up is that he never had the freedom to do what he wanted with his character which I think is a valid argument. You should be able to build and expand on your character without any issues. Plus losing to Triple H constantly didnt help his case either.

Rousey did nothing to deserve being booed but she did nothing to be cheered either. Her entire character was "I was in UFC and I put steph in an armlock". She couldnt talk on the mic, her matches were bad and she buried all the talent she went against to make her look strong. so of course the WWE fans shifted to a woman who was a "sports entertainer" and finally had turned "heel" on charlotte instead of just being the sitcom. Becky was the better character and Rousey gave the fans no reason to support her after she wrestled steph.

You did miss a couple of them. 1, Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner. He was brought in to job to the man who married the boss's daughter. 2, Sting, who was smart enough NOT to go to WWE after Vince bought WCW. Vince would have buried him like he did all WCW guys at that time. When Sting finally did go to WWE in 2014, what happened? They had him job to the same guy Steiner jobbed to, the boss's son in law. Yeah, Triple H's golden shovel got another victim!

Mixed feelings on some of these. Understand the frustration of the people in question, but a lot of it feels like opinion over good decisions. The Gail Kim one is absolutely a horrible screwup on WWE, but the Goldberg one is more on him than the company and so on.

If you're saying everyone is important, which in return means no one is important, then tell me the last time ANYONE in the WWE roster had the mainevent spotlight shined on them? At least with AEW you can have a almost random person be the MAINEVENT of an AEW show vs what Vince/WWE can produce with other less known stars?

@@fpshooterful I'll add if everyone is a main eventer, then you have no main eventers. You need people set apart. You need a promotion to set aside who are the lead horses and who aren't.

@@timmutohfan Not just talking about an random person being in the mainevent. But, just giving other wrestlers a chance to shine in someway. Yes, the big picture will come, but when you're talking about "pecking order" NONE does it better then WWE/Vince. The fact you put AEW in the same sentence as Vince/Pecking order is just absurd. Guess you still don't want to talk about all the recent releases? But, hey, AEW and pecking order? Okay...

I think it was clear seen that brock lesnad has tried to leave WWE multiple times, just like him shoving his title to vince, I really think brock lesnar would be good at other jobs. Such as a cop or a guard or even something he wanted to pursue like UFC

It did happen, though it was Surfer Sting vs Bruiser Mastino. Kind of like how we had Surfer Sting vs Mean Mark Callous, but never Sting vs Undertaker.
