Job told you it start at 11pm, you actually get there and they say “ nah, we come in at 8pm on this day and 10pm on the following days. We ain’t tripping on you though cause they always tell people the wrong start times but from now on be here at 8pm and etc“

I remember the first time I applied at the job I’m at right now. I studied there material made friends with the staff, had a binder full of paperwork, and certificates lol I walked in. And didn’t even say a word manager acted exactly like this. I was actually mad because I had practiced my opening speech for weeks. He literally picked up my binder and looked at it for 3 seconds and gave it back. And didn’t ask me anything told me work starts Monday.

That's my workplace. You don't even need to be good at your job as long as you don't screw up. I can justify any amount of shenanigans as long as I have the staffing. The problem is we're all doing the work of two people plus mandatory overtime and people keep screwing up. I'm a supervisor and I'm under a ton of stress, I want to put in my notice every other week, sometimes every other day. The pay is amazing, but I feel like I'm going to commit end at some point. Whether that's my physical body or my psyche is up for debate. I quite literally have begged people to pull even more overtime because we are so constantly and utterly fucked all the time. Helps that I put in more OT than most people so I don't look like I'm full of shit.
