As an 81 yearold Hillbilly, i too like the old ways, hell i lived a lot of old ways. I remember when we got electricity on the farm. one light bulb in the kitchen and one in the living room. And working the farm and logging with Mules.

Look what it's like nowadays I'm 44 and love the old way of life I have 3 kids my daughter who is 23 gets upset if she hasn't got the latest phone crazy how it's changed but all the new stuff is not making them happy need a taste of Jackie sander old life I love to hear more about that hillbilly lifestyle

@@ebikeoutdoors I'm to be 68 and remember these days up north, and nights we wouldn't sleep, we would plainly freeze for the night and my grand mother would warm us out of slumber on the wood stove in the morning, beside eggs and toasts✨💥✨

@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag In those day we had a very small electricity fuse box and electric heaters as they now exist were not there yet so the beds had several thickness of blankets and you had to sleep with a bonnet on your head to prevent your brain to freeze and get a head cold. Even in my adult life I lived in houses where there had to be 3 wood stoves to heat the house, one wood furnace in the basement, one slow combustion stove in the living room and one wood stove in the kitchen... Of course our goal was to rely more on electricity as to save fire wood and have a lesser carbon print on nature, our electricity is produced by hydro, less polluting than the one produced by nuclear or coal or oil . People should never forget how to get warm in the winter with simple means of a wood fire...✨💥✨Have a good day Tom your days start earlier in Denmark, Here the sun is not quite up here at this time of the year as the days are much shorter than in the summer, it will be up around 7

You know Tom, with all the crap going on in the world today, your video’s put life into perspective for me. Just hearing the birds singing without a care in the world makes a person forget about all the drama taking place. You sure make a person hungry. Lol. Your meals look delicious. Hi Tom. what a great video! Great food, coffee, the eye wink, and the sounds of nature. One second before you said “this is life. It does not get much better than this” I had the same thought. Tom👍👍 Beautiful time at Cimbrer camp. Good idea the banner pole. Eating good in the woods, the stew looked delicious😋and to finish it off with a cup of signature Cimbrer coffee😉😉, you're right, it doesn't get much better than this... Birds are certainly happy, singing and showing approval of the wonderful camp you've designed and built in the woods there👌 The camp all lit up in the evening is magical, with a warm and relaxing fire to enjoy before turning in for the night..perfect😊 The morning brings more fantastic weather, more nature and breakfast to wake up the senses, yes sir Tom, you're a lucky man😎 Wonderful video as always and the drone scenes are well done. Thanks for the trip once again to Cimbrer camp and a great time. See you next time. Enjoy!

I very much enjoy your videos. In this video I especially enjoyed watching you make the pole for you flag, the cooking over the fire with the small Dutch-oven, the lantern scenes were very cool, the aerial shots were pretty awesome, the cooking breakfast the next morning, but most of all I always very much appreciate fire-scenes - you do very nice ones!

You are a VERY lucky man. To be able to enjoy such a lovely area. Good food, "Coffee", Beer, a good smoke. What's not to love? Watching you Tom gives me a sense of peace. Although I cannot join you it makes me feel relaxed just watching you commune with nature and enjoy taking responsibility for your own wellbeing. We have lost so much with our modern way of living. We have forgotten the simple pleasure of listening to the sound of the world. Moving with the seasons and harvesting from the bounty of nature....taking only what you need.

Mr.Tom , I appreciate your videos, as I know how much time it takes from your day to day life. Between gathering gear. Traveling to Cimber camp, setting up, breaking down your gear, traveling home to edit , while at same time trying to enjoy that beautiful little piece of Valhalla you have there at Cimber camp. Im searching for my place to make a camp, for now behind my home will have to do. Cheers my friend have a safe and peaceful week... ps only thing breakfast was missing was a touch of hot sauce with the eggs 🙃

Tom, your videos are truly a refuge from the craziness in the US. Nearby in Philadelphia, the city has a curfew and police are heavily armed. Crazy times. Thanks for offering some moments of peace and tranquility in your amazing camp.

Great Video Tom. I have come a bit behind on watching your uploads :). We had a great summer with some fantastic weather. It is easy to see how happy you are in your camp, and I cannot blame you. You have inspired me to purchase a small piece of land in northern lower Michigan to make a camp for getting away. I am 70 yrs. old now but as they say it's never too late. And that will give me a good place to use my oil lanterns that i have purchased over the years. I sincerely thank you for your wonderful videos that have inspred me to get back in the woods.

Question: where your camp is ....do you have to worry about public vandalism or someone stealing anything or are you not on public land?

And besides that … most people here in Denmark wouldn’t vandalise such a place like my camp … but again … no guarantee for that it wouldn’t happen … 🤔 but I’m not concerned. Atb to you 🦌🏕🔥 Tom

Hi Tom, sometimes just being in Nature and being quiet can be great, gives you time to reflect on life without interference. Your meal looks good. I like my sausages more brownsed though. Coffee is the best part of breakfast anyway, for me. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for taking us to your amazing camp again..i truly love spending time there..wish I had a beautiful peaceful place like that. Your meal looked very delicious and nourishing. A hot meal is very important...its hard to believe there are fields and roads just beyond the trees!! If feels like you are miles from civilization!! So peaceful and secluded. You camp by lantern light after dark is beautiful and very comforting and inviting....very homey. YES!!! YOU ARE VERY BLESSED AND LUCKY!!

Hello Tom, nice to see you again. Once not so long ago when I was very very poor, I was sitting under a tree with a fire cooking some harvested food. I thought you know, if I had millions, I would still want to be here in this exact spot, doing this, eating this. Money isnt everything. Cheers.

Tom, loved the drone video. Truly beautiful. I enjoyed the peace and serenity of this video very much with the birds, the camp fire, the coffee. I was showing this video to my wife and she said how peaceful and relaxing. I smiled and with a wink I said yes it is isn't it. I liked the little dutch oven. Perfect for two.

Great storm lantern, a classic in good old general stores runs on good old lamp oil kerosene,, It they always had that #8, good for you, don't use in a place with no aeration as the fumes are a little toxic, We used it mostly to go to the out house behind the house, real cold in the winter to have to sit and shit on that plank that had a hole in it , and what a smell in there...Modern life has some good sides to it anyway...✨💥✨✌😊👍🎪

I really enjoyed the arial view of the surrounding land (beautiful country). I noticed both pipes in the same shot. I’ve been a long time cigar aficionado. However, I just purchased my first pipe (similar to your new pipe). I am enjoying learning the nuances of it (much more to it then cigar smoking). That simple camp meal looked very interesting (no refrigeration required), I’m certainly going to try something like that. I went camping several days ago (very hot, humid, thunderstorms, and plenty of mosquitoes 🦟, such is Florida this time of year lol). Sorry for rambling, your video just brought so much to mind. You had very nice weather for your overnighter. Love is sounds of the birds. I had a similar sausage links and egg breakfast yesterday but probably would have tasted much better cooked over a campfire and also enjoying nature. I like your flag pole and the way you put it up and it will be there for awhile before it has to be replaced. Your stew is going to look great and you must be ready to eat it as soon as it is finished cooking. The finished product does look nice and must be so delicious too and you won't be hungry once you are back home after such a nice meal.

Tom the stew looked so nice. The colours of red and caramelization really made it look tasty. I hate how heavy cast iron in because there really isn’t any place better to cook.

Excellent video Tom. If I may offer just a small word of advice on canoeing with a second person, I encourage KZfaq paddling tutorials for BOTH people and PATIENCE is a necessity of the learning process. That’s why most people in the USA have switched to individual kayaks instead of one canoe. It really reduces stress and arguments during the learning phase.🔥🍳⛺️☕️👍👍
