At 61 yrs old I got a Dexascan, 1 year later I had another Dexascan. I lost 1 pound of fat and gained 7.5 pounds of muscle. The only thing I did was eat lots of meat(150 gms/dy) and 2.5 months of Pure Barre classes(no other exercise). I found Mind Pump, dropped the barre classes, joined a gym, purchased MAPS Suspension and Anabolic and now only do strength training- I feel the best I've felt in forever!

I almost died from Cushing syndrome because doctors told me that I was eating tooooo much and they put me on a diet and bp medication. And one day my heart stopped and they found the tumor just in time to save my life.. my body is not the same and it will never be the same. My cortisol levels can go from 1.8 to 27 and it is super hard to have a normal life but thanks to you guys! I have learned how to help my body in a way that doctors haven’t been able to do. Now I am 159 pounds 155 in a good day 😂😂,,, I was running 6 days and not eating. Now I run only on the weekends and I eat 1800 calories everyday. I walk 2 miles two times per day and I LIFTING WEIGHTS 4 times per week. I don’t used cane anymore!!! I don’t fall everywhere!! Thank you thank you so much..

At 30 years old I was pushing 300 lbs. By 35 I had starved and ran myself to 170. I was a glorious bad of skin and bone really wasn't any happier than 300 lbs. Lost interest in it go back up to around 240. Like screw it im going eat lift like body builder what could did I have to lose. Here I am 46 185 racked and stacked. Literally became superhero body. Done both to max degrees. Lift eat protein ditch the scale concentrate on strength just watch the magic.

This is for caller # 2. I’m 5’5 110lb female (44 years old) and I eat 2200 calories per day. I eat my last meal 20 minutes before hit the pillow. Don’t be afraid to add more calories. Just pick the right calories- whole food. Hit your protein goal and dude slow the eff down. 2 hours a day is insane.

A good fat loss strategy is to do minimal food reduction and to create more of a deficit through NEAT and general activity. People get under recovered from not eating enough food and taking in less macro and micro nutrients. It's an overall laziness and aversion to simply being more active. I'm on one of the easiest cuts of my life right now. I'm down 11lbs in 6wks by eating WAY closer to maintenance. I do stuff like incline walking, outdoor walks, standing more, etc..Since the calorie burn comes from low intensity stuff and I'm eating a ton, my strength in the gym has still been high.

It makes much more sense. If a 500 calorie daily deficit is roughly a pound per week then how hard is it to cut 200 calories/day from food and burn 300 calories/day more from activity? That’s roughly 1-2 hours of quick walking depending on your weight. More energy, less hunger, more sustainable weight loss.
@ryandeffley7652
@ryandeffley7652 2 ай бұрын
@@petertheophilos4818 - You're actually underestimating calorie burn from walking. Depending on weight and speed, you'll burn 100-150 cals per mile. So if you're walking at a brisk clip like 4mph, you'd burn 400-600 cals in an hour. 👍
@petertheophilos4818
@petertheophilos4818 2 ай бұрын
Thanks Ryan. That highlights your original point even more. You can lose a reasonable amount of weight with a modest increase in activity and a small reduction in caloric intake. You just need to decide, learn, plan and execute

This is such an important message. My wife recently asked me to coach her a bit, and this is the part she is struggling with. All we've done so far is increase the focus on protein in her diet and begin to work on 4 core lifts. She was used to eating maybe twice a day, so she is constantly expressing concern that she will gain weight from the added calories from 3 meals that are satiating. So much of the information available to the lay person is completely wrong, but I'm glad we have this channel to reference. I've told her to trust it for 3 months, and I'm confident it will blow her mind! Y'all are doing a great public service!

Thank you so much! I feel like every episode I watch/listen to is tailor-made for me. I am 50 (on Friday), I have struggled for years with not being able to get the extra fat to strip away. I have been listening to you guys for about a month now. It literally has been life-changing. I shifted my entire way I was working out and eating. Before, I was all about burning the MOST possible calories I could in each workout and continually cutting my calories. I know, no surprise to you, I stopped seeing any results. I could lose 7-10 lbs, but then hit a wall. And now I know WHY!!! I have now focused my workouts to lifting heavy, at least 3 times a week. Beyond that, I make sure I get my steps in - average 12,000 a day. I also shifted my eating. I focus on my protein goals, drink enough water, and working on my sleep. And WOW! The first time in my life, I feel like the fat is melting off. In just a month, with those changes, I am down over 8 lbs. My clothes are fitting entirely different - and I am feeling so much better! Before I felt like I was punishing myself on the treadmill every day. I thought I had to. Now, I still get up at 4:30 every day to get my workouts in, but I feel 1000% better. My sleep is also improving - which has been a struggle for at least 7 years now. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your advice and coaching is priceless.

The whole idea of concentrating on what you’re good at and outsourcing the rest is part of the Pareto principle. Perry Marshall did a great job of explaining it in his 80/20 book. Concentrate on the 20% of shit that makes you the most money and outsource the 80% of tasks you suck at.

Working my way back from my accident, I haven’t even worried about it, though I must be at about the right point. Over the last 3 months I remained at 215, didn’t drop 1 pound, BUT my legs are more solid, and stronger, my back is wider, etc. My composition has changed, I lost inches in spots. Now weight is steadily starting to drop off each week. 💪🏿 PS. The story about Doug and the hotel alarm clock has me DYING!!🤣🤣🤣 That’s me all the way. 🤣

It's easy to continue what was working, even though it isn't so much anymore. There's some recomp going on for sure, I can see that visually, but the belly fat just isn't budging (I know it's generally the last to go). I'm wondering what I can do. I'm a 45 year old female and have been lifting weights since I was a teenager. I have heard you talk about bpc 157. I really want to try it, but I'm not sure which company to order it from. Do you have any suggestions?

I would believe it at 80% because you said about 1 lb of skin cells a year into your mattress, which is why after 10 years it feels 10 lb heavier. You guys right now are shedding skin cells into your clothing and it's getting into the furniture that you're sitting on and yes it will appear as dust but look in your vacuum cleaner next time you vacuum the carpet, it's mostly hair and skin

The happiness argument does not apply to the economic inequality, because the focus is the poor not the rich. For the poor there is direct correlation between income and happiness, in data too. Moreover, the distribution argument is also simplistic. Yes the pie could be growing for all. However data shows it does not. Reason being, the gap between rich and poor after a critical point ends up growing faster than the pie. Additionally, *if* wealthy money were invested, that could be something. But, in (perceived) difficult times, they are not. Rich people buy assets. Check the gold and house prices after Covid for example. Inequality index follows the same trends. Mainstream economics are not a good source for economics knowledge unfortunately. Other disciplines can speak better about economic inequality.

Wish you guys would use your skeptical, truth seeking, research backed minds to look into the most relevant "conspiracy" relating to our health and sovereignty, possibly ever! You could really make a difference with your influence. Maybe you're afraid of getting canceled on YT..
