Hey, I'm Anna. I live in Portland, Oregon, work in branding/marketing, have a cool dog named Karl, and got sober in October of 2023 after almost getting taken out by my drug addiction. I am two months sober from yet, once again, a seven day detox from alcohol. I got a rehab video up. The only beef I have with the place I went to was the food. It's pretty horrible. Good luck on the sobriety.

The food was not great where I went either. It made me sick after a few weeks of eating it nonstop. Where did you go to rehab? How are you doing now?

@@annabarram im in SC, been to a 10 day and a full 60 day for opioid problems. ive been sober going on 4 years (5 years coming this November)

If I went into rehab, I'd lose my job instantly. Then, I really be screwed as at least two people depend on me!!

I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to go to rehab. I know that it's not an option for everyone. I hope you're able to find a good mix of things whether it's outpatient, AA, or a support group to help you through your own journey. Sending love.

@@annabarram I haven't. I've definitely had substance abuse problems and probably should have at certain times, and felt like I wanted to at certain times, but it never seemed like an actual option. At this point I've aged out of drugs and I'm almost there with drinking, probably could have not had to learn so many lessons over and over the hard way if I had went when I was at my worst

@@zackcraft7204 I feel you. You're lucky that you grew out of drugs and feel like you're growing out of drinking. I'm finally learning that there really is a lot more to life than drugs and alcohol. Sounds like you're learning that too? It's really cool to connect with you!

So, I was kinda shocked AA was involved with medical rehab. Or is that just this clinic? Hmm. I appreciate the story!!

I went to in-patient treatment so counseling, therapy, and recovery was all introduced after I left the "medical detox" part of the facility. Did you have a different experience? Curious to hear if you'd be willing to share! Thank you for watching and commenting!

Cocaine. 100%. It's my achilles heel.

If she doesn't mind I will drop a comment. If you were to pay cash where I went it's a little over $30,000 for 28 days. That's without insurance.

It totally depends on if you have insurance and what insurance you have. I think where I went it was at the lowest maybe $4-5k upwards of $10k. You can apply for financial aid, but make sure to do that prior to paying or enrolling. I can find out more information if you'd like to learn more! I Hope this is helpful.

I went to a state funded rehab (in Texas) and didn’t pay a dime, either time.
