A Wisconsin man stands trial for allegedly murdering and dismembering his parents without remorse, and providing false information on their disappearances. Chandler Michael Halderson, 23, faces charges including first-degree intentional homicide. Remains from his father Bart Halderson, 50, and mother Krista Halderson, 53, were found days apart, authorities said.
Defendant Halderson reported his parents missing July 7th, claiming they left their home in the Village of Windsor days before on the 1st. He told WISC-TV at the time that they were going to the village of White Lake, Wisconsin.
“My last message I got from them, they were going to White Lake for the Fourth of July,” he told “There are some festivities that go around there. Better drink prices at the bars. Stuff like that.”
He said that to his knowledge, they were then going to their cabin in Langlade County.
“Along the way, they could’ve stopped many places,” he said. “I wouldn’t know all of them.”
He was allegedly just feeding everyone lies.
Bart’s torso was found in rural Dane County, while remains from Krista were found in Sauk County and property run by the Department of Natural Resources, according to court documents obtained by The Wisconsin State Journal.
Their son had been searching Google for terms like “Body found Wisconsin,” “Woman’s body found in Wisconsin,” “Wisconsin dismembered body found,” and “Dead body found in Wisconsin,” authorities said. Investigators suggested Chandler Halderson used to a visit to property belonging to the partner of his girlfriend’s mother as cover to hide his father’s torso nearby. He had shot Bart Halderson at least once before dismembering him, officials said.
According to investigators, Halderson said after his arrest that “you don’t know the whole story,” and that he “didn’t feel bad about what I did.”

Good Lord. I didn't even consider that's why this monster was dumping bodies on the property of his girlfriend's family. I just assumed Chandler just dumped his poor father's torso there because it was a recent place he was at... and Chandler being a very, very lazy piece of skunk excrement & having a rodent's IQ -- i figured he was just picking a place out of convenience. But you're right - that animal was actually trying to setup those people for the murder and dismemberment of his parents

@edgybarbie77

I agree completely. Because she is court appointed she doesn't care to put on an adequate defense for Chandler, IMO. For instance, Casey Anthony who also had a mountain of evidence against her was able to create some reasonable doubt via her expensive well paid defense team. Now I think Chandler is guilty however he still is entitled to a competent defense. Which is beyond obviously lacking here. It just proves if you have enough 💰 you can buy a defense that actually tries.

@@dawnzambrano1690 Dunno if better is the right word. Prosecutors get to focus on a few cases to give the state a better chance of winning, while Public Defenders are overloaded with clients and have NOWHERE NEAR the budget for experts or other important things. Whenever DNA eventually exonerates innocent prisoners & they're released, many say "I cried & SWORE to my defender I was innocent. He said it's likely I'll be convicted & kept offering me plea deals from the state". It's because even if he's innocent, there aren't enough hours in the day or dollars in the budget to gather the info the Defendant deserves. Otherwise, paid attorneys wouldn't exist. @amandahibler
@amandahibler 2 жыл бұрын
Just prior to that, the prosecutor had asked how the defendant was acting…if he was crying, etc. The witness stated the defendant was not crying, was acting matter of factly, etc. The point of this line of questioning was to demonstrate that the defendant wasn’t acting “normally.” Since that is potentially damaging for the defendant, the defense lawyer asked the witness if he had known the defendant prior to this meeting. What they were likely trying to do there was to introduce the idea that maybe this is just how the defendant normally acts…while most people might act a certain way, this witness doesn’t know how the defendant typically responds to traumatic events. It is a typical litigation strategy. :)
