Agree with Min ^^^. The last man should not be made fun of even though the SovCit rhetoric may sound the same, he's not a SovCit. I have some guesses what he may have but it's not appropriate for me to speculate. Believe it of not this man might be "rehabilitated" using psych meds. I am not a big fan of meds for everybody but I've seen some meds work miracles with some individuals who otherwise could not function appropriately around others. Judge Simpson seems right on top of things.

When he said not competent I went "okay."... then he start with the sovcit stuff and I went "oh no I see where this is going." anybody that believes the sovcit rhetoric is certainly not competent. The judge literally did him a favor. If the sovcit script is allowed into evidence it will certainly complicate his life and ruin his chances of a favorable verdict.
@YukoValis
@YukoValis 2 жыл бұрын
when I think of "not competent" I think of someone actually with some kind of mental issue or inability to understand the proceedings. Sov-cits on the other hand can understand, they just refuse to. So I would label most sov-cits as competent to stand trial, just incompetent to logic and common sense.
@Vaelosh466
@Vaelosh466 2 жыл бұрын
@@YukoValis My understanding is that part of competence is the ability of the defendant to understand the proceedings well enough to make rational decisions in their own defense, especially whether or not to plead guilty or innocent since that's Constitutionally protected as a decision of the defendant. I don't know what the guy was ranting about but I heard him mention the UCMJ, so I'm wondering if their line of thinking is that he doesn't know what laws or court he's being tried in so he can't make those decisions rationally.

I know that plenty of judges can be/are unreasonable in terms of dress code being unreasonably high standards since some of these people work construction and take Time literally in the middle of the day to do this court hearing. That being said dress code standards should not have to actively include wearing clothes at all 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi Mike & Law Talk Family! 👋🏻😁 I am such a people watcher, both in person & on these zoom court hearings. Everyone's reactions/facial expressions to all of the various diff things we experience with zoom court, are often the best part of the videos! LOL Everything leading up to 2:31 & is a perfect example, too. The attorney says, "PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!" The guy then moves his hand from his face to reveal himself looking SO shocked that he was asked to put a shirt on. That was if "You talking to me?!" had a face, I swear 😂😂 Almost as bad as the one I watched yesterday on OldSquishy's channel with the guy that had the space background. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I just don't get what people are thinking these days except that they're NOT thinking... or they just don't care. It's 1 of the 2 or maybe even both. Idk. I'm just glad I'm not one of the many making a fool of myself online & I am so thankful I was raised to have common courtesy, self respect & taught how to present myself in public and/or court - if ever needed. Have a great day and weekend Mike & Law Talk Fam!!! Take Care & Stay safe! 😊

You know what I'm going to say, Mike. Mental hospital for treatment. And not just this guy. All of them. It's that simple. They should make me a Judge for a week. They would have to build more mental hospitals. And I'm not being mean. It really is sad. I lived with my sister and her husband for 11 years. I took care of my mom for 18 years, until she passed from lung cancer. She was with me when I moved in with my sister and her husband. My mom died at the end of the first year at my sister's and I stayed with them because they are both disabled, to help them. Her husband was recently ordered to enter a mental hospital for one year. So, I have seen this behavior first hand. Hope this guy gets the help he needs. Love you guys. Keep it up.

The Uniform Code of Military Justice of Military Justice (UCMJ) only applies to active duty service members or active reserves and National Guard on active duty. In addition, it does not supersede civilian courts of law. If active duty personnel commit civilian offenses, they are subject to jurisdiction of the appropriate court. Military personnel can NOT choose UCMJ instead of civilian court. I’m sure either his attorney or appropriate mental health professional will explain this to the defendant.
