First start and run of the old Barford Beaver dumper after a a very long time sitting behind the hangar on the farm strip. This dumper has 1 cylinder petter engine that you start by cranking it with a starting handle.

The trick is to keep winding after the decompression is turned over

This would be an ideal project to turn this into a rear wheel drive tractor. Dump the tub. Flip the axle to reverse it's direction, spin around the steering column, seat and pedal box. A few days and a welder would give you an articulated mini tractor.

I would want to keep it as it is, then get a small tractor like a Fordson or something. If I ran a towable back hoe behind it, I can dig and dump as much as I would need.

A once familiar sound. Very nice.

I have one of these Barford Beaver.... starts every time... and does the job.... the only problem it has is losing traction.... I have to leave 3 or 4 slabs in the floor to keep the drive in the wheels... there isn't much weight in is once you have dropped the bucket.
