Hi yall, In this video my son and I head for the mountains for an overnight camping trip in our Jeep wrangler tj. Its a good time to test out the Hcalory diesel heater and provide an update, build a Christmas themed camp and relax for the night around the camp fire. Great video Dustin! I'm loving the Green Jeeps setup! Two things....they need to add some scrambled eggs in with the biscuit and gravy MRE's in my opinion and secondly, you all need to add some woodgrain trim to the side of those Jeeps if you're going to drive around with a Christmas tree on top of them. 😅 The shitters full Clark!! Thanks Tim I appreciate it. Adding some eggs would actually be gooder I bet. I’ve had the breakfast skillet one with eggs and it’s pretty good too, surprisingly packed with flavor. I usually get nervous trying these MREs, but so far haven’t had one disappoint, 🤞but anything outdoors tastes better IMO. 😃 love that movie, Putting it in now. Classic 🍻

@@ATEMOFFROAD I reckon it'll have to be a winter trip. Seeing snow for the first time would be pretty awesome if it were while out camping in Cali. I think I'll have to be saving up for a while, looks like it'd be at least 6K AUD just for the flights, but you know what? If I don't start saving now it'll never happen!

@@ATEMOFFROAD I'm only 5'7" so I could probably sleep that was also, I'm just wondering if it's weird with the top so close to your head. Do you feel any draft with your head sleeping near the opening?😀

@@joeylujan3173 it’s totally doable. My dog is pretty big too and I’m 5,7” haha I closed that door up pretty good we wear good socks, heated blanket and shared a zero sleeping bag. The heaters ducting is also right there at the lower corner so the hot air is being blown right across that door and on our feet heating the space. That’s probably why my son put his head the other way he didn’t want the hot air directly on his face haha

my Hcalory heater worked great in the garage, up at 6800 ft elevation it would only run on the lowest setting so I froze all night, kept giving an error code for overheating :(

Sometimes you can get a wiff of unburnt diesel usually at start up or shutdown because it can run a bit rich but always should lean out. Best to keep the exhaust pointed down wind. 🍻
