The elderly guy with the seizure wasn't prosecuted criminally but I hope he had his license revoked. If I had been the judge I would have given him community service consisting of him talking to others or making a public service video about the dangers of not managing his meds responsibly. Epilepsy is not the only medical condition where skipping doses of meds can cause decreased awareness,the same thing can happen to poorly managed diabetics or people taking meds for a variety of conditions. Anyone driving a car has to think of potential dangers and accept responsibility. This was tragic for the young woman and will probably haunt him for his remaining years as well.

Horsepuky. Not taking your medication is a deliberate act. Knowing getting behind the wheel is deliberate, NOT accidental. With this as premeditation, he should have been charged with murder.

That seizure guy should have gone to prison. It would have taken him less than one minute a day to take a pill on a schedule. He couldn't be bothered and it cost a woman the rest of her life. Think about the minute amount of effort it takes to take a pill... they treated this like "no harm no foul" at the end... infuriating. Epileptics shouldn't ever be allowed to drive. Their desire to drive is never more important than someone's life.

In the UK, your driving license is revoked long before you get to this point, because doctors have to notify the driver licensing department if this scenario is merely possible, and revocation is immediate if it is. I know, it happened to me.

The main thing to know is that your licence isn't revoked permanently the majority of the time.

Its called friction which might have happened inside car as it was rolling. He was against the door with his Nephew slamming into him and you have the window smashing into him also. Do you understand now
