Very nice - in Australia and about to get the 8 inch.. Ive been told my Tractor has about 40hp at the PTO (45HP Dong Feng), is 540 better for this or 1200?? ta :)

Is this the same tractor as is used in the videos with the 6" chipper? Does the tractor work equally well on both chipper?

Hi Sandy, We have used both Neil’s’ Kubota L3800 38HP, 32 PTO HP and Josh’s Kubota L3940. 31.5 HP The WC88 flywheel spins at almost 1,200 RPM for increased air flow and to help reduce the chipper from clogging. Some chippers spin the flywheel at 540 RPM which does not produce great air flow and they can be more prone to clogging. On the plus side, spinning the flywheel at 540 RPM provides you with more torque at the flywheel and is great for lower horsepower tractors, while 1,200 RPM is better for higher horsepower chippers and better air flow/less clogging.
