GT is superior to Super because: 1: The soundtrack (Japan) is perfect, it has everything. The fights one, the rares one, the sads one. It is simply perfect. 2: The drawings and the animation: Only Uchiyama ruined some chapters, but the other chapters without him is in a excellent level, it surpass to Z and even to the mediocrity of super. And the animation, it is equal to Z. We can see about 30 fps detailed. Thing that in super only has like 7 chapters seems to be at 30 fps. 3: It does not contradict Z: Vegeta had already admitted that Goku had overcome him and now trains to become stronger and not to overcome a Kakaroto. Gohan, Goten and Trunks besides having their lives, they train and they look great. Piccolo is the same. Goku is still intelligent and is also the goku of the filler / movies, it is the killer machine that does not forgive the villains and kills when it is done, but the Goku of toriyama instead of killing, did not do towards. Even GT takes into account the last chapters of Z, which DBS shit does not. 4: Openings and terminations (Japan): The opening of GT is recorded as one of the most beautiful, and its endings ... The end 2 is one of the best. And the 4... it's just the best: simple, the music, and especially when it's over and Goku comes to look at us with his Z clothes. 5: Character development and transformations: In GT the characters evolved, and the transformations... well, I think it has no explanation. 6: History: At first it is boring, (like in one piece) but from rough and back to entertain us with fights. And the baby saga because it already exceeds all of dbs and are equal to those of Z. Also in dbs are copies of fan-mangas like AF or Multiverse.... 7: Villains: We love King Piccolo, Freezer, Broly, Buu and more villains of Z. But Baby and Omega are definitely villains that already surpass all. But Zamasu is just shit, wants to destroy the world because Gowasu showed him only the negative of humans. 8: Tension: I have not seen any scene in DBS that of tension. 9: Movies: The path to power is not GT, but the animation and music it is. And it's one of the most beautiful I've seen. The same with the GT special, gives emotion and is better than DBS broly. 10: The end: I think I do not need to explain anything here. And another thing: The people who say in GT only Goku has prominence is FALSE, Pan and Trunks had prominence. Even on the planet M2 Pan had a chapter and nobody expected it from trunks and giru. After watching the Goku Black arc and the ToP arc with my nephew, I've concluded that GT is the true continuation and conclusion of Dragon Ball.

GT followed the character progression from DBZ and told new stories. DBS went for Nostalgia Pandering, Freeza's back, Trunks is back, Broly is back, 17 is back etc and all those pointless callback scenes like Vegeta's sacrifice, Future Gohan's death or the Mafuba. DBS has no staying power as it has no identity of its own other than being DBZ fan-fiction, in the next 10 years or so DBS will not be fondly remembered because TOEI is determined on driving this franchise to the ground and milk it for all its worth.

And in GT, Pan was also a great character. In Super, they never really used Uub, either, despite him being Goku's student.

the point of db is about the adventure, the dragon balls, shenron, goku fighting to protect those he loves. dbs is about goku and vegeta and reaching new forms and their rivalry and all these gods 🤦🏻‍♂️. dbgt showed to be about the adventure, it’s based off of the black star dragon balls, the adventure in the beginning of the series, the dragons, a evil dragon being the final villain of the series. and i like how at the end they did a universal spirit bomb and we got to see everyone from the beginning of gt unite to help goku.

I feel like people forget the gap in time from when GT and super was made and how underfunded the staff was that made the project happen. GT feels better because of the message it left off in my eyes. Back then alot more people had time to actually appreciate the fact that they were even getting a continuation because for all we knew db ended with goku going off to train uub and it was going to stay gone for good. Yes, over time it got nitpicked and bashed like the movies and the rest of the series so much it became an underdog because people started forgetting that the grand-tour wasn't about continuing the series forward. It was to send it off in a more proper and awesome way at the time. Super honestly reminds me of just business corruption and how it can destroy good series. Another example being teen titans go getting kidconned and rainbow paint blasted. I get the art and graphics change and look better as we develop higher quality but the most we had in the 90' was like 480p and that was considered right under the all powerful HD remasters right? But I understand what he is saying. If you don't try to understand a series you won't truly find a value especially if you look at it in a negative candle to begin with. Well, Vegeta was indeed training. He was training to surpass his own limits. in Super, Vegeta legimately hates Goku. At least in the anime. He doesn't want to kill him or anything but he is gay for Cabba. Somebody he hardly knows gets more attention than his own son... I mean present Trunks by that. He also gets insanely strong for no reason. Not that it helps him or anything because he is jobbing against the likes of Base Black and Hit in his strongest form before Goku performs much much better. The Dragonball franchise was like Shrek Shrek 1 = Dragonball (it was very good) Shrek 2 = Dragonball Z (Amazing sequel and undoubtedly best of the franchise) Shrek 3 = Dragonball GT (kind of a let down but has its moments) Shrek 4 = Dragonball Super (An absolute travesty that shouldn't have been made)

GTs interpretation of Vegeta is a static screenshot of him from the end of the show while Super is more faithful to him as a character. Just become he acknowledges Goku is better doesn’t mean he will forever be content being #2, especially after getting tired of life without fighting. I mean he is a saiyan, he was made to fight he has just turned his hate and rage in to competitive. I’m not a massive fan of either Super of GT but between the two I find Super to be more enjoyable moment to moment while also being in line with the entire Dragon Ball franchise over say just the Buu saga of Z. Some of my favorite sagas in the entire series was the 22nd and 23rd tenkaichi tournaments and so I may be in the minority but I’d rather have more tournaments with semi lower stakes over world ending destruction for the 5th time just for the sake of it with false stakes which is why the golden Freeza stuff was horrible imo. It tried to impose non existing stakes by killing piccolo or implying that Freeza could really compete with SSB, I did like the time travel redo element though. I mean GT had cooler transformations but all the characters are flat and passive. In super outside of Goku becoming a n idiot most of the characters play more active roles even if irrelevant to combat which is more in line with the OG dragon ball as well as the comedy. I still watch and somewhat enjoy GT but think Super is overall better in the areas that matter.

GT felt more like a story, with the arcs both connecting to each other and to Z in its events, even if they weren't all great. GT also gave characters they werent going to use anymore a timely retirement. In Super they say they want to keep the characters young, but they're all useless. Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, Gohan, all do nothing. Everything is just Goku and Vegeta. But when they do bring in a character they scale them up so high out of no where that they make Goku in SSB look like shit. Both Freeza and 17. Where as GT gave 17 a new form to justify it.

For me its basically that you switch the power level you think theyre at and thats more accurate although nit completely. I don't even think supers universal until episode 80 or MUI. The "feat" of goku vs beerus was explained from episode 7-14. Also keep in mind vegeta enraged made beerus use 10% as stated in ep 7.
