I’m loving the year of finishes this year Lauren, so good to see so many of your projects coming close to being finished too. I’ve not done any festive stitching this July, though let’s face it the weather has certainly been grim enough for it! 🤣

Well it hasn't quite snowed yet but yes, not brilliant here in Worcester at the moment 😅 I'm very happy with getting a few of my older things ticked off this year 😊

Hi Lauren I love your coloured tiger it's going to be beautiful when it's finished. Also I like the rainbow bridge for your mum. The little penguin is gorgeous too. I just love all your stitching it's so neat! The Geko kits are lovely but I really like the Christmas book you showed us. Please can you tell me where I could purchase it? The cross stitch Christmas series of books are published by Craftway and are a bit tricky to source in the UK but create nostalgia do get copies in. I'm not sure if they will still have this one as it was the 2020 release but you can try them 🤞 there are US sites that have them more readily if you don't mind the shipping.

We have a lot 😅 quite a number are old 10yrs+, so they arn't much trouble and mostly like to sleep. The younger bunch that keep us on our toes we have 11.

It’s a struggle to figure out how many projects are the ideal number for oneself and fighting start-itus when it hits. I got hit by the start bug really bad last fall. I did finish many of them because I mostly picked smalls. I’ve also gotten myself into a pickle as I’ve finished most of my smalls and now it’s mostly medium and larges left. 2 finishes to earn 1 start has helped me get down from 23ish projects to 15. So I fully support the idea of more finishes than starts, but if the start bug hits, feed it smalls to keep the wip pile reasonable as smalls are easier to knock out.

This describes exactly how I'm feeling! I've finished as many WIPs as I can recently but everything now left to work is mostly large and even my smallest project the stitching bird is nowhere near a finish so my next finish is going to take some effort and time and in the meantime I am getting really sad not to start anything. I keep looking at some of the patterns I have loaded up on my tablet ready to stitch and checking the stitch counts. Some of them are below 5000 stitches and I'm so tempted to start one! I just really want to stay in the 20's and at the moment I'm on 29 and don't want to creep back to 30 so I was thinking of I can get just one more thing done, then I'll replace that WIP with a small. x

Hi, yes I realised after filming that I hadn't mentioned that mishap. I had to cancel at last minute because one of our doggies wasn't well 😭 all ok now but I just couldn't leave home that weekend, was really sad to miss it & miss out. Hope you had a lovely time 😊 x

Think your two finishes are so pretty, just love the colours in both. Good luck with selling your house. My daughter's looking for a flat and there's nothing much out there. The houses in my area have all been hanging around, whereas a couple of years ago blink and they'd be sold. Funny old world. Fingers crossed for you. Take care
