Hi, I’ve just arrived here via Instagram and subscribed your channel. I’m also Giulia 1750GTV owner in Japan. I bought my Giulia 37 years ago and have been owning it. Looking forward to watching your next video! (I’m also making some videos regarding my Giulia 1750GTV on my KZfaq channel.)

Pleased to see a completely renovated rear axle assembly - great work. The only aspect that caused some consternation was the painting of the wheel rims complete with the old wheel balance weights - which will undoubtably need to be removed and others reattached once new tyres are fitted and wheel assemblies are re-balanced.
@raisingjunior6389
@raisingjunior6389 5 ай бұрын
Thanks...not to worry the steel rims are temporary and the tyres are over 20 years old. I will be using the silver alloys shown at the end, i'll get new tyres and balance them when the car is close to be done

This is about the third time I’m going through your build so far. Great to see what I have to go through. I’ve got a 1600 GT Junior that my father in law gave my son and I bought a step nose that I WAS going to use as repair panels but changed my mined and decided to do that one also. Unfortunately the step nose doesn’t have an engine but my son’s car was complete with its original engine.
@raisingjunior6389
@raisingjunior6389 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching!! Good plan, don't cut up the step nose body as it's more rare than the 1600gt Junior. An engine shouldn't prove to be too difficult to find unless you want a specific engine block code. I bought my car without and engine too!

I've just found your channel and I am catching up on the episodes: they are very informative and enjoyable. One question please: did you continue to use gas free flux core welding or did you change to gas: if so, what gas are you using ? Thanks and good wishes.
@raisingjunior6389
@raisingjunior6389 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the nice comment, great question, as I used a flux core welder for the rotisserie but changed to gas sheliding for the repairs on the car. I used a CO2/argon gas mix called Atal for the Mig welding

@@raisingjunior6389 I'm seriously looking at a 1967 1750 Alpha Veloche. Scarry rust but seen worse. Runs drives stops. Decent shape. On the fence, am pretty decent with a wrench and been long time since I did any body work, but I guess it's like riding a bike! Wanting 16k quite a bit to me. Prices r crazy now but music going to stop. Will keep car if I fix up. And drive it
