Total amateur. Steel facade mesh is always used to cover cracks, the cracks widen and deepen.

Good design that I will probably use. I couldn't help but chuckle though at the trial and error approach to figuring out the angles, including the comment saying that it's not an exact science. Geometry is, in fact, an exact science.

Did you know that the side that the fence ribs are on indicate that that neighbour did not pay for the fence? You already had a wooden fence that indicated that the people you bought from had paid for that fence (the smooth board side is facing you).

I've been watching KZfaq videos looking for the best way to build a mantel/floating shelf. I had an idea in mind and didn't want just ends of wood butted up to each other. I wanted something with nice, mitered ends. When I saw your build, it was a no brainer no long-drawn-out explanation, straight forward, and a nice build. Thanks for the PDF and the work you've done.

I cant stand lattice either. My neighbor just put it up and it is crooked. I am probably going to plant some Morning Glories to cover all the crooked lines up. 1 packet of seeds will probably do it.

Just an FYI if you're going to apply sealer, make sure it's the correct kind of sealer for the concrete you're coating. Fresh concrete continues to cure over 28 days, meaning the applied sealer needs to allow gasses to escape while keeping moisture out. There are sealers for new concrete, but you might be better off waiting a month and applying sealer then
