when recommending mystic forge gambling to people I think it can be helpful to suggest looking at binomials distribution for success probability much more useful in my opinion, since if you gamble 231 times (77 times 3) you still only have a mere 52% of actually getting at least 77 mystic clovers and if we increase our trials we can be more comfortable with knowing how many we need to gamble to have higher chances of actually getting all of them

Also worth mentioning that after the June 25th update prices of most mats used to convert liquid gold into raw gold dropped significantly due to people trying to get a lot of gold fast.

If ANet takes those as their anchor point, I we might keep getting more ecto sinks in the game. We're far off that 13 silver point that we hit a year ago, it seems.

Sometimes you get lucky and get an item that gives you a ton (100?) of them. Happens more frequently in WvW than anywhere else, I feel. Always a nice surprise :D

Just a heads up. Your recording is very low quality. I think you might have recorded at 360 and then uploaded as 1080. I have it on 1080 and it just looks terrible. This can't be a pixel over 480.

The build was nerfed but if you swap your Sigil of force with Sigil of Strength and use food that gives might... the build is basically the same. Well... minus quickness. You also need to press the Scavenger Burst to get your Fury and Fury Buffs going but it's a good aoe ranged damage skill and you can have two dashes when you stay on red. Also you can get both jade protocols from wizard tower, they are close to the jade station and you can buy a wizard tower teleport scroll. Also I run half berserker half maru/dragon and I do as much dps as my open world reaper with asc. berserker gear.

Indeed! I've also been just spamming Scavenger Burst off cooldown and slotted in a couple of Diviner's pieces to maintain the quickness that ability provides.

my fury method is with Demon Stance using Call to Anguish with Relic of the Midnight King. it basically makes Call to Anguish a gap closer that AOE pulls and grants 3 stacks of might and fury :D

There's a couple of changes to some cooldowns, but nothing major changed with the June 25 Balance Update. I haven't been benching it further, so I haven't reached J_Halver's numbers, instead I've been using it in the open world. I also hit the 16k mark consistently, with a couple of outliers on the higher side.

Nice video! Altho I think the "New Convergence" on Janthir's Wild won't drop the same reward as the convergence from the wizard tower. My guess is its the system that they brought to Janthir's Wild (the instanced 50 man people. Kinda like DS but bigger). So new enemies, new mechanic, and new rewards.

It would make sense they do away with Essences, and since there's potentially titans instead of Kryptis, the motivations might change too. Although, I would hope they keep the items to open rifts somewhat consolidated.

This is nice but jade protocols reset every time i go to mistlock sanctuary, and i always do this rather frequently without really thinking, its so annoying.

Yeah, I've made the 1000 seas my home base for that reason. Although, since the update to the protocols (30 sec ICD added), I've stopped using them. The build is now a bit more involved, as you need to spam Scavenger Burst while approaching enemies, but it guarantees quickness and might uptime.

Wow, a bunch of “Debbie Downers” commenting. I’ve been enjoying land spear beta on Mesmer. Seems a little clunky at first but skills hit like a truck 🛻! For those complaining about the cost, I know you can’t buy a WoW expansion for $25. ANET has kept their promise on getting out content every three months. SOTO wasn’t my favorite so hoping Janthir will be more engaging.

Oh I agree on the content pacing/price. I'm a big fan of the new model. I do think it's natural that people will be faster to list their grievances compared to those who would just say "I like it, I bought it". I'm in the latter camp, though :) I can't wait for the expansion!

@@phandrel I would greatly appreciate it. I have tried a few different professions on him ,but the clouds of poison and the relentless veteran mummies he spawns overwhelm any thing I have tried. I am no expert at the game , just a novice really. I will tell you though the warrior spellbreaker build has came the closest . I managed to stick him on a ledge where his mummies could not get me ,and was able to whittle him down to 40% before the 10 min timer ran out.

I mentioned on live Stream that the "Molten tool set" was faster than the "Eldritch Horror set" From testing I found a few things. 1.hardware is a factor-I.e. Molten sickle is faster than Eldritch harvesting on my old Hardware but the opposite is true on my new hardware using the same account. an i7- Gtx 1660 vs i9-RTX 4090 both tests on a stable 1Gbps connection. 2. I stated it was the whole set but it turns out the Molten axe is the same speed as Eldritch horror wood tool If you cancel the animation. 3.I've gathered less per hour from nodes with Eldritch tools due to early animation canceling and missing the last gathering strike. 4. I'm guessing but think the molten is simply better optimized due to it being through so many updates. I hope it helps someone.

Oh that is some interesting information, ty for sharing this! I've actually been getting more out of animation cancelling, due to the Item Booster having a chance to proc twice (only procs on the first strike IIRC). Hellmasker mentioned you can also do this with Glyph of Bounty, or have both active at the same time.

I've been wasting a lot of auto-attacks, as I kept forgetting it was melee. The mobility on Spear 4 and 5 did make up for it a little, though. I feel like it could've gone either way, indeed. We already have sword for melee and greatsword for ranged. So I wouldn't have minded this being ranged either.

Why tho? Mesmers already have ranged power weapon (gs) and the melee one (sword) is used mostly for its defensives and mobility which are more useful in pvp/wvw than in pve, so I feel like a melee/assasin-like weapon was exactly what was missing in its roster.

@@pwk50 Because unlike other squishy classes Mesmers have little to no defensive abilities for decent survivability. This will make the Mesmer spear practically non-existent outside of PVP. In order to make a melee focused weapon work for Mesmer in PVE, they’d need to either buff base toughness, health pool, or both.

@@Rollingstone1988 that argument only works in Open World content and is still very much a matter of correct build customization and skill issue. Not everything is supposed to be broken or overpowered. Personally, and I know many ppl will agree with me on that one, I like a challenge and if a weapon is harder to play (even if due to making my character squishy), it just makes it more fun and satisfying to pull it off.

Ele spear in open world feels best with either core or weaver. In instance i prefered tempest because i could either achieve better dps or give alac

Agreed! I would understand they keep some builds in check if they impact other game modes too much (although they can balance for those specifically). I also mainly hope Warrior gets looked after.

While not the maximum power yet, that should be more than enough to get consistent legendary fish to drop. The only thing that comes to mind is the location/time of day that could be off?

I was actually surprised with what we're getting: spears, homestead (caught me off guard, looks better than I expected), raid wing 8, convergence. Granted you need to like those things for it to be worth.

At this point I'm scared to get my hopes up for thief when the beta is that good. The scepter changes were rough (esp that cleave on scepter 3 being scrapped), axe (although that one retained some of its numbers).

tried rev spear a little bit last night and initial thoughts are unfortunately unimpressed. feels like they didn't really learn from the mistakes of scepter, all abilities feel too slow to cast especially the AA, the main skill 5 which they want you to spam uses too much energy, its too short range and seems like it wasnt designed to fill any specific gap for rev. its like shortbow but less range and less utility, and less variety of conditions it applies. it does have a cool concept for rotation tho how you spam skill 5 and other skills to get more skill 5, has a good rhythm to it.
