Whats the name of the fabric that you used
@StudioROSADO2 күн бұрын
Hi, this specific fabric is jersey brushed fleece (this one is polyester but there are cotton options too). You can also use a double knit fabric if you want a lighter material :)

Can you pull it up on the arms to use as a cowl neck
@StudioROSADO8 күн бұрын
You definitely can use that wrap detail to cover your shoulders and do sort of a cowl neck style. However, the cut and the sleeves still stay at like mid shoulder level, if that makes sense. In case if you decide to do it as a cowl neck, skip stitching on that elastic band otherwise it will be visible 🤗

Hello! I just purchase the pattern and I was wondering if you could help me choosing the size: According to the size chart my bust and waist fit in the size 36 but my hips in 40. what would you recommend ? I don't want to make mistakes cutting on my fabric. Thank you :)
@StudioROSADO13 күн бұрын
Hello! Oh, with this design is a bit tough! What kind of fabric do you have? Does it have some stretch or it doesn't stretch at all? If it doesn't stretch at all, you definitely should go for size 40, because this dress is fitted around hips. Ideally, I would recommend you to use the layer's function and leave both 36 and 40 visible. For lining this will be very easy: at the top part (bust and waist) follow the lines of size 36 and starting from the waist gradually move to the size 40. So the top part would be 36 and hips part and below 40. With the upper ruffle part it is a bit more tricky. But there as well, at the area above the waist, follow the lines of size 36. And then try to follow the lines of size 40. You should double check the length of Ruffle 1 - it should match your adjusted pattern. The lower ruffles should be cut as size 40. I hope this makes sense! Let me know if I should clarify some parts :)
@StudioROSADO13 күн бұрын
Ah, and if your fabric does have some stretch (it has elastane), I would consider to risk and simply cut the size 38, but the method I mentioned above is a safer one.
@unalbaa12 күн бұрын
@@StudioROSADO Thank you for your answer! The fabric I have chosen is chiffon so no stretchy at all. I am going to do as you told me print the pattern including the 2 versions (3 with 38 to be sure) and change the patterns according to my mesures. I will make a test version first with the lining dress to see how it fits before doing the ruffled one! Doing so, I think I’ll get the right mesures!

I don't see the point of this. I think the dart area would shift during cutting of the armscye. Mark the point of the dart and the end of both lines, and use the markings for folding and stitching.

Don't move your iron when you work on interfacing. Always use white cotton fabric so you don't burn the fabric and damage your iron. Just gently press the iron and lift, then press it again

Thanks for the well explained video.. How can I change the size of my chest because I am wearing size M and chest size XL?
@StudioROSADOАй бұрын
You're welcome ❤️ I would recommend to print out the pattern file in a way that you leave 2 layers turned on: size M and XL. When cutting out the pattern pieces, cut out the XL upper front panel. When it comes to front middle details, redraw the side seams in a way that the side seam at the upper part starts from size XL and then it connects to side seam of size M. Work in a similar way for the back panel, at the upper/rib area draw the side seam along the size XL and then connect it to size M. For shorts and skirt panel simply cut the size M. Since this is a jersey sewing project, it should work pretty well :) It's a bit trickier with wovens. Let me know if I should explain some parts better ❤️
