I have a Laifen, I've had it now for almost 2 months. I love it! I couldn't believe how powerful it was. She's right. You don't need to turn it all the way up lol, but that's a good thing. I've literally only used the one brush head, can't even remember what that was called but there's another one that's for your gums and the other I think is a softer brush. I'll be honest, I only bought this because it had great reviews for its price point and the replacement heads are a 3 pack for like $17...A 3 PACK. Most of the other brushes I have owned had replacement bushes that nearly rivaled the entire cost of the brush to begin with!

I was thinking of buying one of these because I suffer from Trigeminal neuralgia and using an electric toothbrush is painful but a manuel toothbrush doesn't get my teeth clean. However I have watched a few videos now on them and none of them said they were any good, and they seem to have a lot of vibration so I definitely could not use one, so thankyou.

Waterpik is not a replacement for floss unfortunately. It’s like washing dishes. It’s not enough to just run them under hot soapy water, you need to wipe the gunk off with a sponge. Same with teeth. The water pressure is not enough to remove the sticky film of plaque on our teeth, it needs to be manually wiped off with floss. It’s the same reason why it’s not enough to just use mouthwash; you need to actually brush your teeth.

You missed possible option #3: You may naturally have a high rate of teeth remineralization. Therefore despite applying glycerin to your teeth, you are still able to overcome its negative impacts of lowering rates of teeth remineralization. For whatever reason some people just naturally have very low rates of teeth remineralization and glycerin would negatively impact those individuals the most and probably encourage decay. There are several reasons speaking in chemistry terms why glycein is probably not good to be applying to teeth...

Sure I will add that to my list. I’ve talked about bad breath before but I can’t find a specific video for it. I’m not making new content for the rest of the summer so it will take a hot sec, but just to get you started, there are multiple reasons for bad breath, including gut issues, sinus issues, tonsil stones, periodontal disease, cavities, infections. You have to first figure out what the source of bad breath is (may be more than one thing) and then tackle that. Stay tuned for a full video :)

I generally brush in the morning just to freshen up, not exactly a thorough session. That being said, we still accumulate gunk on our teeth in our sleep - the biofilm layer that naturally forms on our teeth is undisturbed all night; if we don’t disrupt it with at least a quick brush in the morning, plaque forms a lot more quickly throughout the day.

You only tape the mouth gently . No worries that the tape remains permanent . Flossing first I believe jambs and slices the margin and the biofilm goes deeper down because you disturb the margin imho. I brush the food off gently first . Then I floss every other day or every few days and instead use interproxal brush for spots I know that catch food.

Hello! :) What do you think about water flossing? I do the regular floss and my dentist said that I mustn’t use regular floss around my implant (it is a single implant on a lower molar). I was complaining to him that quite a lot of food is getting stuck not only in-between the implant and adjacent teeth, but also under the crown itself (between the gum and the crown) and it takes a lot of flossing to get it all out. He told me that I should use waterfloss instead of regular floss for an implant. I searched a lot in this topic, but the information that I find online contradicting. He said that a regular string of floss might get broken and some strands could get stuck in the implant that will lead to inflammation. I have had the implant for a year already, and he said that the gums are looking good, so it’s good that I flossed (better than not flossing), but I should switch to waterfloss.
@askahygienist
@askahygienist 13 күн бұрын
Oh, interesting recommendation. The rule I know/was taught about implants is you definitely need to floss them. Biofilm can accumulate on the implant and cause irritation, and that’s not something a water flosser is able to remove. Need to manually wipe it off. Usually when you have an implant replacing a molar, you are bound to have more space between it and adjacent teeth, causing more food to get stuck; but as long as you stay on top of flossing everything out, should be fine. Glad to hear you got a good report about your gums recently.

The waving palms have lightened my teeth atleast 5 shades. My teeth were pretty yellow before and those strips were an absolute life saver. I will say I do see a slight improvement from your pictures but not much. However, I think this is due to the fact your teeth didn't need much whitening in th first place. As for me, it made a HUGE difference.

What exactly. How to do it or talk about benefits/if it works?
@nothing-98
@nothing-98 14 күн бұрын
How to do it :- 1. Take a spoon full (1 tablespoon,may depend on the size of mouth) of any cold pressed oil (coconut, sesame oil ,castar oil but not refined oil or mineral oil). 2. swish it in your mouth for about 5 min to 15 min. 3. Spit it out in your garbage bag or drainage (it may block it in cold weather) Benefits:- 1. Reduces overall bacteria content in mouth 2. Improve facial muscles & blood circulation to mouth 3. Remove light staining 4. Helps in bad breath Other benefits :- (These benefits are seen in many people but I don't really understand how it works) 5. Helps in gum recession 6. Helps in removing early cavity 7. Detoxify blood through blood vessels in the mouth (this particular one is a claim). 8. Also helps in digestion (claimed too) Personally I have experienced all the benefits except 7(don't know if it works but my face acne and sinus blockage has reduced a lot). Tips:- 1. It could be done in the morning before brushing, generally after drinking water. 2. For cavity prone sesame oil + clove oil would be best but Coconut oil is already. 3. On the first day your facial muscles may be sore but Try it for a week. 4. If you can't swish it around for 5 min due to soreness, Try swishing for 5 sec and rest for 5 sec then repeat the cycle. To specify things it does not benefits me in any direct financial way or I don't own any oil producing factories 😊😊 For any other queries feel free to ask it out.😁😬

There is also an element of safety. The stronger stuff can mess your mouth up if you don’t know what you’re doing, which is why you have to go through a professional. It’s the same for renting certain heavy equipment or staining products for flooring (recently discovered this with our own remodel haha) they will only sell to professionally trained/certified people who know what they’re doing because the stuff they’re using is potentially dangerous.

I also prefer an Oral B as I think that, because it hugs the tooth, it leads to better cleaning. The only issue I have is, I a small mouth, and I still have 3 of my wisdom teeth. So getting far back is easier with a less wide brush. I really really wish they made round toothbrushes with a less wide toothbrush head. Would it be better for my specific teeth to get a Sonicare?
@askahygienist

Hmm, it’s possible a Sonicare may work better because it’s not as bulky with the slim oval shape..the other thing to keep in mind is when you brush in the back, make sure to close your mouth halfway and shift your jaw to open up the space near the wisdom teeth a little more.

I’ve used a manual toothbrush for majority of my life; even now I don’t always use an electric. A manual brush coil do just as good of a job if you use it correctly. The problem is most people don’t, so an electric helps achieve a better clean. That being said, you can use an electric incorrectly and cause more damage than good. It all depends on how you use whatever brush you have :)

I have zero issues with Cocofloss and I’ve used it for almost a year- for me the fibers stay together and flatten down in a way that Reach doesn’t, and I really feel like it ‘brushes’ between my teeth.
