One thing I’d say with KZfaq was I deleted it off my phone because of the KZfaq shorts addiction, but I continued to use KZfaq on my laptop for watching productive/ teaching videos. I genuinely love KZfaq for that but I wish there was a way to get rid of the shorts on your phone.

One thing that may help you from distractions on your phone is by removing any influencers or celebrity drama that doesn't really apply or matter to your life. If you're someone who likes drama between celebrities, it can effect the way you spend your time throughout your day. Waiting, and waiting for upcoming news won't make your day better but pretty much leave you in a whole. I know for a fact I did the same thing and I began to realize myself that these people don't even know YOU-so why spend hours thinking about them, you know? I definitely agree that it can effect you mentally, and you self-esteem and don't try to get into all these "clean girl aesthetics" or "auras" and do things that make you feel like YOU. Just remember also that people like when others are unique and special in their own way so find hobbies and sports ect that you love!

the thing is, I want to quit my phone addiction completely but then I'd have nothing to do so I'd go back to it but I wanna be productive :/

I found your account in December last year and that was the first time I tried a dopamine detox, as it was my most succesful one. I ended up going right back at it, though. I've tried again several times in these past months but I always go back. i just don't know what to do. ATP I feel like the only thing that would work is to sell my phone or something.

Just a pointer for those who want to keep youtube for the long form content, you can click the 3 dots in the right hand corner and click not interested. If you do this on all of the shorts and refresh your feed a few times they should go away for the most part.

Thank you so much! This video was so helpful! I've started doing this a few days ago, i deleted apps i don't need, ive put timers on apps etc and it's actually helped me so much so far even in last couple days, I'm not using my phone as much anymore except when i actually need to and i make sure to always take long breaks too and im getting better at not always picking up my phone as much and I've been trying to do more productive things and even tho its not helped me 100% i can definitely tell its helping me. I feel so much happier now!

I was out on PTO for this week and my focus was to take the time to reprogram my mind. This video came just in time as I struggle with productivity outside of work; video games being the biggest contributor. I couldn't make it through the video two days ago, but I restarted it and watched it in its entirety today. It's a start and I'll continue ridding myself of any distractions in order to achieve my goals and have a better quality of life. I appreciate the video Abraham and congrats on 110k subscribers!

Hey man, could you help me find another KZfaqr? I found you through him about a year ago. I think his name was Howie/Hughie or something like that. He would be in his bathrobe talking about loneliness after graduation, decline of community, self improvement etc.

infinite scrolling should be illegal, there should be a bottom and then a next or watch more after you reach it, the fact that they can have you scrolling untill there is no end (becouse it will just repeat it self) should be criminalize in the app, and worst thing is only american apps do that, as japan and even china has regulations on enldess scrolling

In 2017, when I was a junior in college, I started to notice how much time I was spending on social media. I had even turned off notifications but it didn't work. I can still remember what I would do. I would open twitter, then Facebook, then Instagram, then Snapchat, and then just repeat after going through each. I didn't even enjoy it. So over the remainder of my college years I started getting rid of them. Twitter went first (might of been before 2017) and then Facebook because it's terrible anyway. Eventually Snapchat went which annoyed my friends. Instagram went at the end of college or slightly after because I just ended up endlessly scrolling through the discovery page. Luckily short form wasn't a thing like it is today. I've seen how fast KZfaq shorts sucked me in and I got away from it. I've recently removed Reddit as well which is hard because I've learned so much from it's various communities. Getting away from these apps is the best thing you can do for yourself. I still find myself scrolling through my chrome article headlines too much when bored at work but it's better than social media which is just designed to keep you on it. Get away from it. Especially if you're young.

23:30 LMAO I closed my eyes and said to myself "I wonder what my next thought will be" and my subconscious said "I don't know" while I consciously said "Probably 'I don't know'" at the exact same time and then it was just silence in my head (*crickets*) while I tried to think of another answer other than "I don't know". Usually, instead of thoughts I just have music playing in my head at all times, so this was probably the most internal peace I've had in a while.

I needed to see this. I’m 30 years old and I’m straight up addicted to my phone. It’s so embarrassing and I am ashamed. Reading a book is a struggle which makes me so sad… Smart phones weren’t a thing until I was a freshman in college. I remember life before I was glued to my phone, and I want it back.
