doing cycling there before, bear was a threat cycling alone. RV rental is good but kinda expensive in Japan, regular car plus bicycle plus tent would be nice.

Why is that old man still working. I always find it DYSTOPIAN when really old people are still forced to work. That poor man should be resting his bones. This is the downside of capitalist societies. No safety net.

The colors come from flame Chemistry back before the Bohr Atom. If you know the color of the element that burns from the salt of the acid you'll know the chemical that they use. Not really a trade secret to the chemist. Maybe everyone else. They are still fun to me.

I lived in kyoto as an expat for 3 years. There was an old man, 80 something, who lived near my house. Everyday, I saw him searching and collecting trash early morning and sweeping the place. Then out of curiosity I asked him why he did what he did even at such an old age, considering there were urban cleaning services to do the job? To this he replied very politely "It's my duty as well, to do service to the environment, as much as it is of the Urban cleaning services." That left me red-faced with embarrassment.

The gender free uniform is unfair, the girls will get to wear both but the guys only have one option? Also pants don't keep you warm in the cold weather, insulated clothing does such as tights that go under the skirt in the winter. What about when it's hot outside? That's when skirts are preferred especially when they offer more blood flow in the legs as well as freedom of movement. Its also easier to go to the bathroom with a skirt. Since they use up less fabric shouldn't they be cheaper to produce? From an engineering standpoint a long skirt is warmer than pants in very cold weather. One hole (skirt) has less surface area than two holes (legs on pants). This means less surface area for heat transfer. Lastly riding a bike while wearing a skirt isn't even difficult unless it's a long skirt which can be fixed by just folding it onto the seat. If it isn't broken then there's no need to fix it.
Such an amazing man. I like that he was a translator too such as myself :)

As someone who works on machines similar to a vending machine there is no way I would get anything out of one that has open food like that. The amount of vermin and bugs that can get inside those machines through the tiniest opening. 🤢

Wow, this was such a good video. The way it was laid out and played made me feel like I was watching a Veritasium video. Obviously this is original content all on its own but the voiceover with the animation styles plus all of the information given just comes together to make a very good finished product that is reminiscent of what id expect from the Veritasium producer. I'm a little late to the party but that's because I like to try to save your stuff for when I can't wait to see something new anymore lol. Keep up the awesome work like you always do!!!

It appears that starting in 2024, Soma Nomaoi will be held on the last Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of May instead of July. One of the reasons for the change was the excessive heat. If you are visiting, please be careful not to make a mistake. There is a possibility that there will be more people than usual in 2024 due to a certain game.
