Thanks for posting this vid, I remember seeing the Little Red Wagon and Hemi Underglass wheelstanders there one weekend as a young teenager. I moved to Texas in 1976 and moved back to Michigan in 2019 and have wondered what happened to this place I wished I would have heard about this show and hope to hear about the next one!

You keep saying "locked up". What gets me about this is that the "locking up" from the way it feels for your hand (very low torque) would be essentially unlocked if it were installed on the car. Sounds like you need to sweep the frequency as you put a torque wrench on the INPUT, not the outputs. It's a planetary gear, so the input torque related to the 2 output torques is the key here. Great video, could trim some of the fat, but good to hear your stream of consciousness. Keep it up!

Yeah when I say locked up it is literally bound up. I feel like there is some bearing loading that happens when the transfer case actuator is stalled. I would not want to drive torque into the TC in this state. Still on my KZfaq editing journey, figuring out how to be more efficient with the videos. Stay tuned for more 😃

Yes, a lot more comfortable but definitely not as quick. It makes me realize I have to do something about the brakes on the E21 to make it more responsive!

I bet if you had a seat that held you in tighter and stiffer suspension you could really find the limit of that truck. Overall though man, you gave it hell and had fun doing it!

Thanks! Yeah man it was a blast! Going to roll the fender lips up front and stiffen up front springs at least and look into a seat that’s got some bolstering to it. Though the ride is nice and cushy in the OE seat, but sometimes a sacrifice is necessary for speed!!

I was hoping they cleared more. Man! Most of the brush you see is Autumn Olive. That stuff is so nasty and invasive! Every year I tear a huge brush pile of it out on our property and can never catch up with it!

Nice video of this event. I didn't hear about it until after it had happened. I live within 5 miles of here. The Nasty Nash was purchased new and raced here by my late Uncle George LaVictoire. Rode in it a few times when I was a kid and he lived on Garfield. He really hated to sell it. From what I heard this isn't the OG race car, its a clone. Still good to see. Great video. Hope to make it this year though.

Not sure, it ran out of gas on one tank and flamed up when I switched to the other. No pops or bangs with it either. Have never had this happen before, but ran fine once it started.

@FahrenheitRUS but it started and ran , it happened after he switched tanks and it ran fine so the spark plug works. I've worked with many hot exhausts and old spark plugs and that's never happened.

This was my 40th 500 in a row 41 all together ! One great thing about living 1.8 miles from the greatest race course in the world i got to take a nap at home and wait out mother nature ! I sit in turn 3 to section 4 rows JJ & HH seats 1-4 .and it was a great race thanks for sharing 🏁🏁🏁🏁

Dang you hiked it down to victory circle. I weathered the storm under a pop up with some friends and some peeps caught out, in parking just so of 16th. Some in cars. Went in around 2:45. Weird driving out later it was dark. Honestly, I never tire of witnessing revelers and the humanity part of it all.

@@AdamPE21 nice, so few around still, it's a little sad to see each one die. I just watched your brake video and wondered about it when I saw this new one. I did pads rotors on my 11 2 mode, they seem to have to much initial bite for the system. the pedal feel is super grabby at low speed. thinking I might swing by the dealer and see what oem pads would cost. I saw you did acdelco rotors, did you use Delco pads too? I should totally be asking this on that video lol.

as for what I did on the hybrid brakes, I used the same AC Delco rotors and one with just a standard Wagner OEM replacement pad.

@@AdamPE21 yes, I've been seeing lots pop up on Facebook market for part outs. I wish I had a place to store a parts truck haha. I would like to keep mine going for a long time too. I do have my eye out for a cheap tranny just to keep on hand as that seems to be the hardest part to get if it fails. thanks for the brake info, I'll look those up too.

I just did the front brakes on mine. The original calipers with the original caliper bolts. I had to use thin wall sockets to get them off. Replaced them with button head Allen bolts. Could solve your brake pad overhang issue

Get further over the front and smooth that porpoise out. A 2 bar intake grate will probably get you 1mph. Lots of small mods will help. Flame arrestor sucks if stock, it'll suffocate the engine. A pipe will help. I build 50+mph 550sx skis.

Hey Adam, do you know of a way to bypass the thermostat on a dishwasher? I don't need it to heat up, it just kills time and electric. I've been looking all over and as you can imagine there isn't much need for someone to do this so I'm not finding anything. Thanks again!

If it’s like most of them I’ve seen theres a spade connector that slides onto the heating element that you could probably just disconnect and tape up (don’t want a bare wire floating there or touching the floor!) Should run underneath to where the element goes through the bottom of the tub. Make sure the washer is disconnected from power when you tape it off though because it’s probably 110V going to that element.

If I wanted to simplify this and only worry about 0% and 100% could I just run a switch to the power/ground for full rwd/awd with a flip of a switch? Cool to see the tcase unlock with zero power mechanically.

Putting an awd setup using the atc300 in a racecar application, don’t care much for the adjustable power split (30/70 etc)

Unfortunately straight 12V to it will lock it up completely (no movement from the shafts at all!) and draw greater than 20A…some people have put a current limiter on it to stop it after a certain amount, but unless it’s continuously pulsed it won’t stay in the 4wd position. Really looks like it needs a controller.

No better time than now to try! I was 29 when I got mine…took me a good 2.5 seasons to learn how to drive it. Have enjoyed it almost 10 years! Easy to work on if you have the ambition.
