Hi Jithin, Please check these aspects: 1. Low refrigerant level 2. Thermostat or temperature sensor malfunction Best to take it to a garage that dedicatedly looks into car AC systems. They will be able to diagnose the issue faster.

Hi Jayhan, right now the fastest way to source this unit would be to get it from a retrofit dealer. There are plenty of them who do retrofits on VW and Skoda cars. I can recommend Praveen Sorab from Bangalore - 81477 37557. Get in touch with him. Price varies from dealer to dealer. I’m not sure what are the ongoing prices of the RCD 340 units; please check with the dealers.

Hi Dilpreet, the road noise is acceptable and significantly lesser compared to the stock tires. The best in terms of low road noise would be Continental UltraContact UC6.

Hi, quality is as good as the imported one. I personally did not feel a difference in the material quality. Absolutely no noise while driving. If you feel any noise coming from the vents, remove them, check if the clamps have come off from the vents, fix them using epoxy glue and secure them back.

@@GaneshBalan No issue buddy. Yes it’s a faint noise. But thought you might have some tip to fix it. I’ve tried lubing the bolts of the handbrake adjuster cable underneath the center console but no help.

Hi Anirban, good to hear the feedback from someone who’s using it for 2 years now. Indeed, as you mentioned, tires do get very hot during long, continuous drives on highways. Especially on concreted surfaces compared to tarred surfaces. That’s why there were so many cars which had tires which failed in the Mumbai - Nagpur Samruddhi expressway.

Extremely informative video sir. I have a maruti vitara brezza zdi+ amt and it is due for service. In the last service MASS has used 5w40 engine oil. This time I'm planning to use 5w30 a5b5 fully synthetic engine oil. Is it safe to change from 5w40 to 5w30? Please advise me on this regard. Eagerly waiting for your response sir. Hi Rishi, changing the oil from 5W30 to 5W40 won’t make any difference to the engine or the user. NONE. But switching from semi-synthetic to fully synthetic makes a perceivable difference in terms of reduced engine noise while driving, smoothness, etc. And oil from a good manufacturer like Castrol, Shell, Mobil, etc. What I would however suggest is to stick to Maruti’s recommended oil based on the user manual. I trust the MASS has done that correctly. Please do check your user manual regardless. I see 0W30 a lot in Maruti’s user manuals.

Actually dad got the car serviced last time and I came to know that they have used 5w40 after seeing the service bill about the grade they used. I really don’t think that would be feasible since this is not a standard fitment like a 2-DIN unit. Your best bet is to check the market for android based 10-12” units with a customised frame for your car.

Hi, as @chimewallace above has posted, please ensure: 1. You have closed the jar properly. As a safety measure, the unit won’t turn on if the jar isn’t properly tightened. 2. Double press the button in quick succession to turn on the unit.

@@GaneshBalan Already did this one. I ensured the jar is properly aligned to the base. I also tried quick pressing the button twice but it only shows a steady blue light but still not working. When you press it once, it shows flashing blue light but when double pressed, it shows a steady blue light but both ways doesn't work.

Hi Joy, if you have an aftermarket stereo with Android OS and the Sensairy TPMS app is installed, it can pair with the sensors. Otherwise, you need a phone.

Eagerly waiting for more such walkthroughs. Its very easy to follow, you break down every part and explain really well Gannu sir. Your guides on teambhp, and also guides from helpful people from other fourms like uk polos and drive2 is very helpful in understanding what all components and process for retrofits. I am looking to install this maxidot cluster, but had a few doubts. I also apologise for spamming your comments with questions, I don't have the membership so i cannot post there. I want to use it in vento, is it possible to change the icon of the car shown in the display? Can we do it with vcds or need higher tools like odis? I am seeing prices around 60k, is it a fair price? Especially as online coding is also needed, which is not included.

Hi, thanks for the feedback! 😊 1. It is possible to change the car displayed on the MFD from a hatchback to a sedan but it has to be coded using the EEPROM coder and not VCDS. VCDS can be used to change the car displayed on the audio unit like the RCD 340. 2. I am not sure of the ongoing prices but please do check with different retrofitters - their charges may vary. Do speak to Praveen Sorab from Bangalore - 81477 37557. He does a lot of retrofits including maxidot cluster change and can change the car type for you. 3. Please apply for a Team BHP membership!

@HarishCh548 no problems. The tacho would read the correct engine crankshaft RPM. You’ll have to change the car type indicated in the MFD from a hatchback to a sedan which the retrofitter can do.

Hi David, I’m guessing you have the unit that does not have a 3.5 mm aux jack at the front? If yes that’s the RCD 360 and that does not get firmware updates.

Hi Shahid, please check with the local MGP outlets at your place if they have stock. Very unlikely since the parts for Zen have long been discontinued and whatever discontinued parts are left out, must be in the warehouses of these MGP outlets. If you don’t get a new one, try salvaging one from an old car from scrapyards. Try this contact based out Coimbatore. A friend had given it to me but I’ve never bought anything from him. Maheshwaran, 96599 93339 He owns an MGP outlet at Coimbatore.

Hi Nitin, unfortunately I don’t have access to an Elevate now. I suggest you play around with the various settings on the home screen. You’ll figure it out. With these kind of infotainment units which gives a lot of features and customisation offers, it takes some time to understand and utilise them to the fullest.

Hi Ezhil, that’s right. You’ve pasted the Fastag to the transparent sleeve so you will be cutting the sleeve along the tag’s edges.

Hi Anush, there are 2 types of safety plugs for Prestige cookers: 1. The normal version which I have shown in this video. 2. The miniature version. Please check your cooker’s lid to check which plug you would need.

I really appreciate it. 😊 As regards parts for the Zen, Maruti has nearly stopped all the parts but whatever is stashed away in some random corner of some MGP store’s warehouse can be traced using their system. If you approach them with the part number, they can search and see if it’s there somewhere. As for Carburettor, get it from KPACCO, New Delhi. Amar is the contact person, +91 95995 57487

It won't leave any residue if you heat it slightly with a blow dryer before removing. :) No need for WD40 or isopropyl alcohol..
