Best grill ever and construction. I had a Traegar ( which was great) and have a Camp Chef and they still dont match up to Grilla Alpha Connecr.

Why is there a 1-1.5" gap in the front/back griddle plate? Seems like a major design flaw. 1. Wasted cooking space 2. Griddle will move 3. Looks bad

We have grilled our legs for years. Mostly just reheating them as they are already cooked. Keeps the stink out the house and crisps up the shells a bit making them easier to crack. Highly recommend.

Thanks for this video---- This got me back in the game. I had Junk on the fan and a wire making contact with the blades. Also -- I noticed that the auger tube was full of alot of pellet dust. probably was not a problem but I cleaned it anyway.

I just made my Father's Day order on a gorilla silverback I just wish you had two hookups for meat probe and I hope at least comes with a meat probe.. I almost canceled and went with z-grill because they had a promotion where you buy one and get 10 free only paying for shipping that's pretty good. And there's always updates on grills with new technology..And they have updated the control units but maybe not better build quality.. I know this video is 5 years old how can they compare now I wonder

I have a mammoth and I tried cooking ribs with the 321 method and it doesn't seem to work with the mammoth. If I go off time (6 cooking hours), they definitely weren't done. If I go off the meats internal temperature according to the included probes (I haven't tried other probes yet) it takes like 20 hours. At the end of both attempts, I just said screw it and cranked up the temp till they were done. Any idea what's wrong? is there a setting I need to change or is something wrong with my mammoth? btw Grilla's customer service sucks, so I'm trying here. Hope you can help, thanks!

"9 slices shredded provolone cheese" .... wtf?? How the hell do you slice shredded cheese? You can have 9 slices of cheese or 9 ___ of shredded cheese. You can even shred 9 slices of cheese. But you can't have 9 slices of shredded cheese. I assume 9 slices of provolone, shredded is what you meant. But... it's cheaper to buy block cheese. Ounces (weight) or cups are generally preferred measurements for shredded cheese...

Doesn't sit real sturdy on the silverbac, really needs another attach point at the top or the middle. Support recommended I use the hex bolts from the handles which would give it a little more torque.

Awesome job. Did you use the Pro mode or PID. Right now, my PID runs hot. It’s 85f here in Nashville. Should I adjust the auger feed speed? If so, to what setting. It’s current at the default. Thanks.

Very easy to assemble. The only headache was the gas connection, a bit awkward to access. I believe another here commented about a cutout in the heat shield to allow the connection to run through, but would guess that would sort of defeat the purpose of the heat shield. Otherwise, blown away at the quality of this grill and how it functions. Searing smash burgers and cheesesteak on the grill is a dream or grilling a ribeye at super high heat. Kind of surprised actually. Thanks!

Just assembled my primate and was seasoning the griddle when I started to hear a faint hissing sound. Turns out the hookup for the regulator was angled in such a way that the regulator hose came (apparently) a bit too close to the griddle, and melted. Need to now go out and buy a replacement regulator and tweak the factory angle of the hookup so it doesn’t lead to coiling of the regulator hose. Not how I wanted to spend Saturday morning. A bit upset to be honest.

Seems like the water and drip trays are a bit hard to slide out…. Is it just because the unit hasn’t been broken in?

Where do you suggest setting in normal 85-90f summer days. As I use the Pro mode mostly, what % might allow the temp to return to maybe 10-15f over the actual setting. Temps are always over.

My buddy bought & assembled your grill & today went to grill steaks & cannot get the propane connected to the service line of the grill because the connector does not extend out of the side of the grill enough to make a solid connecting without it leaking. Does someome have a quick solution please. He's very upset about it
