Came here because I’m moving home with my parents to a rural town. I plan to start making my own tempeh and maybe tofu with soybeans I grow. I knew tempeh had some kind of fungal-aspect but hearing her say add the mold is giving me a bit of pause 😂 Have eaten so much tempeh at this point there’s no chance I’m not gonna keep eating it though.

Every yogurt I've made so far was grainy in texture and not smooth like yours. What's the secret? Have I left it too long? Too high temperature? Probiotic culture isn't right? I use homemade soy milk like you do, with only soy and water, and a tablespoon of granulated sugar added before fermentation.

Tempeh does not need to be heated before eating. If you havent used raw beans then its all good

Soak the soybeans overnight, pressure cook them the next day, blend them with their skins with some water (NO soy pulp left behind), add a yogurt starter, and put the mixture in a yogurt maker for 8 hours. Can you guess what the result will be? Perhaps yogurt?
