It is really good shape and was used by a professional dance troupe, but I am going to use it as an element in a movie that I am making and do not want it to become the weak link and halt production. Need repair work on my Teac A-4300SX.How do I contact you or you contact me Having issues with the record and the VU showing the record process. Had this one and it still plays very well for about 47 years. Probably needs a good cleaning and adjusting, etc as well. I do play it about ever month or so.

Bigg Matt think you could give me some quick advice on fixing one of these? I got the same deck from a friend's dad after he passed, he wanted me to have it. I did a lot of work on it and got it going but it always had no record inputs on channels 1 and 2. I have been using 3 and 4 for about 2 years and now channel 3 is out so I can't do any recording. Any guidance you could send my way would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi Bigg Matt. I recently picked up a Teac A-2340. The #3 vumeter moves during playback, but not much. The other channels are fine in playback mode. All channels register fine in record mode. What might be a good place to start troubleshooting? Thanks.

Ciao Big Matt, questo registratore è simile al mio gx747. Meccanicamente funziona bene ma nella registrazione nel senso normale ( in avanti), mancano le note acute e spostando la manopola del bias tutto in senso antiorario migliora un pochino ma mancano sempre i toni alti. Viceversa registrando in reverse, si nota meno la differenza, ma devo girare la manopola del bias tutto in senso orario e commutando da source a tape sembra quasi uguale. Il nastro è sempre lo stesso: LPR 35 registrato 7,5" Cosa può essere? Peccato che abiti lontano altrimenti te lo avrei portato per un controllo. Grazie. Ciao

Hi Big Matt, thanks for the insights! I've got an issue with my R8 which I haven't been able to snuff out where the machine has periods where it stops (when in play/rec mode) after about a second. Other times it'll run just fine though. It looks to be something in the circuitry of the time sensor that makes it think it should stop. When I block the LED from the sensor so it doesn't count time (and so the counter stays at 0 when playing), it doesn't do this. I've tried resoldering some bits and spraying Deoxit but to no avail, I guess because I haven't been able to pinpoint exactly where the issue is coming from. Any chance you've come across this before and you know how to go about fixing it? Many thanks.
