Hi Drew, thanks for your message. The route is pretty straightforward to be honest. The main area with an increased risk is the route down past the waterfall at the end. The rocks can be slippery when wet. No real issues in terms of water crossings etc. The place we left Hamish at was good, no issues. When you go for the bus you must stand at the roadside and flag it down when it appears or it’ll drive past. Take cash as a backup with you for the bus, the card machine wasn’t working. The driver let us in for free in the end! Have fun. Dave 👍😊

Yeah it’s a bit of a leap of faith each time to be honest. The only tip really is to make sure anything of interest is out of sight. We also often pull the blinds down and turn the seats in an attempt to make it look like we are either there or not far away.

(In perfect conditions). You’d then need to portage past the faster flowing section then back in where it opens up into Veyatie. As you’ve seen there’s a prominent trail to a point where most people camp if they are paddling out and back from the eastern Elphin end. Have a super trip when it comes.
