I tuned in experiencing active gut wrench. The “voooo” breathing worked - it is like a soothing massage for that vasovageal (is that the name?) nerve. Instant relief.

How do we access more than 5 of our senses? Are there more than 5 senses? This concept of sense forgeing is super enlightening. I’ve been meditating for more than 30 years. This is exactly a new way that I’ve been wanted to grow.

It’s not about understanding, it’s about getting free from all the aggression and trafficking. Understanding will not get a victim the freedom from the trafficking, corruption, theft, and stalking. I know that myself because I am currently in the midst of being trafficked and stalking. My handlers want everything plus blood from me and do everything from shutting down my internet; refusing to help and protect me from these thugs; calling me schizophrenic to dilute their actions; and pay off politicians and judges to keep them quiet; and much more.

Brilliant episode! Thank you very much, I really enjoyed it! And I really can relate to all these topics, loving being angry at the moment and hating it, when anger is gone. The perception of how short is humans life made me becoming more open to the people around me and to the world, trying and learning new things without fear, trying to be kind and suppress that anger. It changed my life and I got much happier. And that zero space policy, it is something what I practice intuitively towards my husband (now I know the definition to that 😁) Alex, thanks for sharing all that stuff and for not being afraid to be that humble and vulnerable ✨ it's very helping to hear men's perspective to understand them better. We really enjoyed The Last Kingdom and I was so in love with Uhtred character. But for sure you portrayed the perfect human, his life was sooo tough, no way a human can handle it unbroken, still with great kindness in heart, being able to forgive and always find way out to the light. Or it is possible? P.S.: Dan, thanks for podcast. I think you got a new fan. That stuff with losing ego just blew my mind! On my way to hear episode with my another crush Arthur Brooks 💕

Wow, wow, wow. Thank you Peter for sharing so authenticly. Remain curious. I take you with me. I had an out of body experience when I was 17. The being who met with me as I was choosing life over death, what the being said came true. I am now 65. I had 30 years of nursing career and especially in the cancer hospital I had a handful of patients who experienced a near death experience or and after life experience, even a man's father coming back to tell his son that everything was going to be okay as the son was living through stage 4 terminal disease. So little we know. Thank you for sharing what you know

Thank you very much sir for this very good podcast..I think it all starts with being mindful and in the present moment in order to catch up those macro beautiful moments that reshape our nervous system and transform it from flight fight mode to a peaceful, calm mode ,where we can get happy and authentic.thanks a lot

This man is so sweet and caring. Pausing the fight flight and self soothing to peace and calm and safe is key. I do breath work with tapping to unfreeze and slow down for an anx episode.Self-talk with tapping breathing . Then ultimately clear the limiting belief. Self hypnosis too. Bless you. ❤❤❤

Dan WTF are you doing putting out this amateur click baity “three things” junk? I really like your podcast, your interviews are great and I used your meditation app. You do great things and create great content! Please put out worthy stuff, this click bait content deminishes you in my eyes. You are better than this, come on, “be nice”…. do folks need to hear, “be nice”. I dig you man, but not this… Be well!

...YES!! ... and start to untangle them... and before doing that we have to see our habitual patterns that are dark and learn to be with them and that starts the unravelling process!!! Dan Harris - thank you so much for this treat of a program!! 🙏💖

@tenpercenthappier I think the point Shannon was making about balanced exercise corresponds to your point of intuitive eating. It's more about paying attention to your body. With something like say interval training we'll get the 80/20 balance naturally. There's certainly some value in stretching yourself aerobically but we don't need to push our bodies to damage. The balance of easy activity vs shocking the system must exist in complement - not always one or the other. That's the paradigm shift to occur.

I think the world is weary of hearing about Israeli trauma while we witness their daily atrocities, and emaciated and broken children. They have abused the Holocaust and its meaning and used it to defile and eradicate a whole people.

I loved this interview - i wished it continued another hour+. I very much appreciate Johann’s extremely thoughtful and compassionate approach to this topic. I’ve lost loved ones to obesity and obesity-related diseases, I hope we can continue conversations such as these to help people understand that obesity is some personal failing. Congrats on the new book, Johann… I was your work or heard of it until today, but you have a new fan.

Loved so many things about this Podcast. Was not familiar with the "near enemy" concept, although I have experienced it so many times. The feeling of not being understood even though the words were there. The comment about feeling overwhelmed hit hard, this is definitely me, but now I will change how I handle this feeling. I use the sentence "I'm here to get it right, not to be right" for many years, which seems to annoy a lot of people. Thank you Brene for being an inspiration to closer connections.
