To comment on the Matt Walsh section: Another criticism of Matt is that it's not the game's job to do the parenting for the parents. ESRB ratings exist for a reason. If parents are letting their young kids play video games that specifically say "MATURE 17+" then that's the parents fault, not the game's. They wouldn't let their children watch R rated movies and people would question them if they did, so how are video games any different?

They learned this crap from baby boomers. They've been throwing public tantrums to get what they want for decades.

The current people in today's entertainment misunderstand what makes a character 'perfect'. It isn't that they are literally perfect without flaws, it's in how they learn from their flaws and inexperiences to becoming better as people. Or it can even work the other way around, in seeing how someone becomes worse because of their flaws (like Michael Corleone). Either way, the perfection is the journey towards how they change as people, for better or for worse.
