I love running a full stack instead of just a half. Why? Not because its loud af i actually like it at lower volume because it doesn’t push the speakers so hard and it sounds full as hell.

The Bravo is a personal favorite of mine, as Peavey sleeper amps go. But my all time favs are the Prowler and Duel. US made precursors to the Valveking. But they have a high gain channel that's more like an Ultra. The prowler was only made for a year or 2. But it has a wicked clean channel, and a wicked gain channel, in an affordable 1x12 combo.

Were all the amp controls set at straight up Noon for this demo? Most of the amps sounded great and a few had some extra Bass to them and of course the ENGL sounded like an ENGL ( Great ) I wonder how all the amp features compare. Great job on the video.

I'm torn between this non art epiphone and the usa standard. The epiphone is closer to Adam's custom but $2150+ tax Canadian is hard to accept for a Chinese epiphone

Thank you For this: The One Mic to Rule them all would be the Sure 545sd; But for - Two Mics Blended the Low end form a 421 and the Top mids from a Sm57, Is a Classic Golden Duo. For my New Dream Team Tough I'm a have to Pick up a 545sd and the MTP 440.

Nothing sounds quite like a 4 by 12. With 4 by 12 you get Phase cancelation that you will never get with 1 by 12 or 2 by 12 cabs

498T and 490R pickups are very flubby on their own so they are not helping the flub. I also find the Les Paul studio in general to be a very low mid heavy guitar with a fair bit of flub. I have a Bonamassa Gold top studio and its very low mid heavy and has the vowel cocked wah sound on the low mids .

It's between the SM57 and the e835 for me.

Conclusion: The riff playing and Rectifier are so good that you can stack any overdrive on them.

When i got my MT100 i was kinda disappointed. It sounded so familiar, meaning i have amps that sound pretty dang close to it. I felt the same with the Engl Inferno by Marty Friedman. They are great amps but sound so close to many others. My bad cat linxs sound unique, Armored sabot, Revv120, Egnater Armageddon, heck the peavey invective 120 that i hate, but it has its own sound. Great amp, just not for me.

My favorite is the one that made it sound like a boosted Rectifier. Huge sound.

Very cool comparison. I wish he would have considered presence and depth controls on the power amps that had those controls, since their settings would also make a difference.

The most balanced and natural sounding one I hear is the sm58 and surprisingly, the amazon basics in a close second.

They sound pretty much the same like 97%

Regardless of cab, all the UK made ones did sound a lot better to me. The Chinese ones have that guitar center sound.

Hey Kyle, I’ve mixed the 77’s with V30s in a 4x12 recto slant and they compliment each other so well. Amp is a Marshall Dsl402 hot rodded with the legendary tones hot mod v2 - thanks for the insights on that, sounds huge!!! Great videos, so engaging, insightful and fun to watch!

One of the reasons I bought my torpedo x was just so I could run my 100w laney cranked through my 4x12 while maintaining a respectable volume just because it feels more organic, not just because of the tone, but the experience.

The DV-77 sounds great overall, but it sounded amazing with the tweed / grill cloth Bogner (don’t know what it’s called) at around 10:08

HESU Demon is killer

I thought the bogner xtc and the engl powerball were the most brutal and clear aounding but honestly the stock 5150 just needed a bit more gain or a boost and it'd sound pretty much good to go. The blackstar did well for a transparent power amp.

Love the sincerity. Yeah! Great drive at all. I have one of these Fab CHorus. It respects the drive sound, that still genuine and not too much crazy chorus in high drive. Thats it.

You managed to set all the amps to sound damn good, which makes for a rather difficult choice! My top 3 picks are the Bogner and Deliverance and Revv. The EVH and the PRS have insane price/quality ratio. I agree with another comment, I could probably dial in any of these beast to achieve a super satisfying hiGain tone, even without any added pedal! The Rectumfryer, Engl and Diesel are my least favorites on this video.Thanks Kyle, you rock!!🔥🔥🔥
