Honestly, because of the way Warframe works, I'd be interested in seeing the builds that don't pan out just as much as the ones that do, provided you do an autopsy on the point of failure like you did for this. This game is full of absolutely mind-boggling minutiae in the weirdest goddamn places and you have a well-honed knack for making such information easy to understand.

Making mistakes and failing isn't what I'm afraid of, not making mistakes and still failing is what I truly hate.

Man, od you like funny niche builds and/or tanky frames, check out Chroma with Arcane Battery. No health mods, no armor mods, just add a lot od strenght, guardian armor, quick thinking, hunter adrenaline, arcane grace (or other health regen) and you can health/energy tank anything and have shitload of base dmg (best with xoris). Its stupid but works 😅

I had the same problem with the Sporothrix and Tysis.

Its funny how inconsistent Warframe can be with explosive weapons and if you put punch through on them, like with trumna it explodes in the first target but the bullet doesn't stop it just doesn't explode after the initial hit, but then theres weapons like komorex where pinch through just makes it worse, all this to say that its annoying.

I've been really hoping for "fail" videos like this. I actually would want to watch videos (or maybe just a compilation) about builds that do not make it. As others have said, you can learn from failure, so I do think there is merit in a failed builds video, showing and discussing why it didn't result in success.

Might I suggest trying aimglide meleeing with your kronen build? It throws the weapon every attack, and I've found it significantly increases your DPS.

I have to applaud the pontification about failure. I've seen far to many recent college grads in my line of work that are absolutely mortified by the idea that failure is an option. Especially those that went through their later education getting nothing but the highest marks. The best people I work with learn far more from a failed prototype then from one that works flawlessly. That last point is one of the reasons I enjoy your format. It's how I've been playing the game since the beginning, and can distinctly remember telling people to try thing for themselves since at least 2016...may be earlier, but that's the earliest I can recall.

Komorex has been one of the few weapons that has pleasantly surprised me after the scaling and vulnerability changes, plus the addition of cannonade and autotrigger on semi weapons. This thing can ditch so much damage per shot it is actually absurd with a simple hybrid setup and corrosive, I love it! Definitively focusing purely on status, and blast which imo is overrated as it is only really good for weapons that can apply lotta status quickly, plus then trying to use it as an AoE weapon, is not the best plan, but you gotta try out things to know whether they work or not, and sharing that sometimes, failure is also a result. Great video MC!

Everyone makes mistakes. Like DE with the Komorex- Joking aside, it _is_ somehow simultaneously a weak sniper rifle and a weak rocket launcher. Not useless - nothing in Warframe is - but definitely takes a lot of work to get it Steel Path-ready. I get that they didn't want it to be completely busted, but as it stands it just has all the clunk of a sniper rifle with all the overtuned stats we've come to expect from AoE weapons. I feel like they could double the scoped damage on most sniper rifles, just to make them useful for Eidolons or something. As it stands they don't really have a purpose compared to less cumbersome weapons. This is especially true now that most incarnon weapons do more damage per shot than _any_ sniper rifle in the game, without any of that finicky zoomed-in combo nonsense.

So just, for everyone else's reference: In my experience, you actually totally can get away with this combo of Cannonade on the Komorex for the insane fire rate on the scope-in explosion. You just can't do Rifle Elementalist, that officially gives you too much punchthrough-- with just Cannonade though you can safely bodyshot and even headshot basically most things and still get the explosion where you want it. So, like, the thing I ended up doing was just Corrosive for pure damage, because you're a sniper rifle anyway, you're not stacking so many blast procs anyway and the explosion is already pure Viral which is a good thing you don't want to detract too much from. Honestly Blast probably still works fine without Elementalist? But also I like seeing damage numbers in excess of seversal million on a sniper rifle with this kind of fire rate and also AoE, and Corrosive helps that. Note: Results may vary, I do in fact own a riven which I happened to reroll after this update and now it's like plus Toxin plus Status minus Fire Rate (which gets negated by Cannonade so it's free). So like, obviously a solid riven on a weapon with like 1.15x disposition is gonna make a huge difference, but mainly these exact stats just let me avoid running the 60/60 Toxin, so I can't imagine it's actually making too huge a difference.

The fire rate is already 2.0 after critdec! You do not need it to be higher! Ween your damaged brain off of TikTok or whatever it is that has killed your attention span. Also Acid Shells is a trap and does literally nothing of use on Steel Path due to scaling.

It's stuff like this that's why you're my favorite WF creator. You don't try to be perfect, you don't try to make us think you're perfect, you're just a grounded, open guy who wants to have fun and help other people have fun. And that is so refreshing and invariably results in content I'll watch before anything else in my inbox.

You could get it to kind of work with a -zoom riven probably. But until some really weird content comes around trying to get Komorex to work is kind of just doomed to fail, it's niche is far too specific and it doesn't even have the numbers to offset that.

I'd just like to say that the style of your videos is like the golden standard for build guides. You show a goal, your attempts at making it work, testing the build in action, analyzing its flaws and your thoughts as you iterate upon it(which is self-evident from the testing) and then the final result. It not only makes for competent builds but greatly helps people understand proper build philosophy.

Cool video. Couple of things you can stil try with this combo though: use it with Ensnare or another grouping set up. But even if that's still too much PT for you, use an unranked or partially ranked Cannonade. Even unranked and ignoring the damage bonus, Cannonade is effectively a 4x increase in AoE mode's DPS. Totally worth a mod slot, and 0.25 PT won't pierce even normal humanoid enemies.

I did the same thing, but I topped it off with testing it on Qorvex, with no memory of his innate punch through passive. I think it would be cool to get "failed build compilation" videos every now and then, though. It was still informative!

I am totally going to be trying this out with Gas/Electricity and a grouping tool. Maybe Mag?

I tried kinda the same build like 2 weeks ago and my fire rate feels waaay higher and so I can proc more blast from the explosion and it nukes steelpath. But why is the performance different? The simple answer is that your fire rate on semi-automatic weapons also scales with the clicking of your mouse. But you don't even need an autoclicker! Just turn on the semi-to-auto-setting in the menu and your fire rate will be way higher. That means that your dps increases as well as your blast proc rate, which means that it is steelpath-viable. And maby try headshots and the sniper-combo-counter too. With all those "buffs" (AND merciless and diffusion on max) i could decimate a corrupted heavy gunner lv 175 on steelpath. Zero warframe buffs needed. But if you want warframe buffs then try Kullervo. Still love your vids though! <3

Can you please do a video about how modding works? Like how it matters where you place mods in what spot. On weapons, warframes ect.

I put your kronen influence build on my praedos. Doesnt start with as high a status chance, but it still works very well and I get to keep the big speed boosts from the incarnon mutations.

it's just too bad about punchthrough on the komorex, otherwise it would be like, the ideal mod for it.
