Your jawline will almost always look better after getting braces (especially if you have an overbite). Don't just blindly believe in what people here are saying. She clearly had a facial imbalance, and she looks way better in her second foto.

nope. it’s the whole head that changes, unfortunately. lower jaw takes another position against the rest of the head. sounds nuts but is true.

Did she gain weight ? There’s something about the before I prefer more but can’t put my finger on it I mean I Obviously see the braces widened her face So it’s one or the other . Either she gained a bit of weight , or the expansion has given her facial structure a bit of a masculine look to it , it’s not longer soft as it was .

The face is better before. It is somehow younger, vibrant and fuller, I think in the after she has lost some midface, it has been set back. The bit just under the eyes. I would be interested to see her without the glasses. And how this is for her in about 15 years time. Better to have slight crowding and a nice face then the dental arch made smaller.

I have to get braces for an open bite, and I do have a misaligned jaw and bruxism (potentially TMD as well)...is it generally recommended to get the Neuromusucular Orthotic BEFORE or AFTER the braces treatment for open bite?

If you can guide me please I am about to have a braces treatment done for my deep bite Of all the clinics I visited, if you can comment on this With same degree and same brand of braces (Damon) a doctor is charging me a lower amount because he did not have that senior level experience Another doctor, same degree as previous one (Masters Dental Surgery - Orthodontist) is charging me double the amount for the same procedure. Only difference is--he has been in the industry twice longer than the previous doctor Is it worth to get the high cost treatment for same procedure Would appreciate your guidance Thank you

People are speaking to stop doing extractions yet dentists keep doing this. They should BAN this practice. DO NOT EXTRACT PREMOLARS!! She looked better before. Wider fuller face with great cheekbones

What a load of crap! Her lower jaw was fantastic, but you screwed it up. Her mid face area is the problem area and needed to be expanded proportionally. It is criminal to extract and retract jaws. That is the degradation of our health.

Did you find out if its safe to move side to side? Ive seen other videos that its not safe and recommended? Im having tbis issue where i cant open my mouth enough and only one side is locked

@@theyounghawk No, I domt do it because it feels wrong. And yeah same. What helps me is sleeping facing up even though its awkward but then my jaw wont lock. Also avoid looking down for too long. But thats just me not sure if it will help you. Mine doesnt lock any more but it pops a lot.

@@theyounghawk I just slept facing upward or if it locked in the middle of the day while I was home I took a quick nap facing up or just laid on my bed facing up and when I got back up it wouldn't be locked any more. It was weird. After that it hasn't locked up again because I avoid looking down for too long and sleep in a position where my jaw doesn't start acting up.

@@lightthatfire4012 i got extractions because it was the only option bc I got a canine sticking out way out of line and already crowded teeth. I don't say I regret it, spaces are halfway closed but definitely some jaw resoprtion, looking to get jaw surgery after

No. Her face profile looked so much better BEFORE the treatment. She's lucky she had such a perfect jawline, so after treatment, she ended up looking kinda "normal". Can't imagine what this would do to her face if her jaws were not so forward... It's absolutely ridiculous that you think that her side profile looks better now. I guess you got used to seeing flat faces... 1:33

Extractions have to be done in certain cases. In this case, she had a more large lower jaw which isn't normal.

She looked better in the before treatment. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her lower jaw in the before photo, and the prominence of her lower jaw was harmonious to the rest of her face. She had fuller, forward facing lips and overall facial features in the before photo than in the after photo. Orthodontists extracting teeth like it's nothing will be an absolutely ridiculous practice in several years.

I agree with you and you are saying exactly what I was thinking. I thought that the before and after pictures were switched because she looks better before and worse after. In the before picture her Face is more symmetrical, her complexion is even toned, and she looks more youthful. I’m the after picture she has on the thick glasses, and she looks much older and tired.

I agree. I'm so f--king bummed that my teeth were extracted, but the knowledge we had at the time of my extraction was the knowledge we had at the time of my extraction. Wish orthotropics was a thing we all knew about 10 years ago. I look similar to my mom except that my mom's face is fuller and she has aligned teeth even thought they're SpongeBob teeth like mine, probably because she grew up in Laos, whereas I grew up eating American food. My face is narrow in comparison to my mom's and I have less chin in my side profile lol Oh well, I'll just wear the face that I have now proudly for the remainder of my life. It's an argument among orthodontists that sometimes patients inherit large teeth from one parent and a small mouth from the other parent but both of my parents grew up in Laos and have perfectly straight teeth, and all of my siblings (5 of us) have overcrowded or cooked teeth there must be more to this than genetics at play.
