Perfect lines aren't needed, it rot beginners mind... You're not helping much by bringing it up
@ProkoTV6 сағат бұрын
"Perfect lines aren't needed" is the point of this video. This is a technique that will help people who have a harder time letting go of making "perfect" lines. If you're past that, that's awesome! For others, they may need this push.

Hey Proko! your videos are amazing! love them, always watch your videos when in doubt! I have a question... How can I look for landmarks when the figure is clothed? like the ribcage or pelvis?
@ProkoTV4 сағат бұрын
When drawing a clothed figure, you can still identify landmarks by observing how the clothing drapes and stretches over the body. Look for points of tension where the fabric pulls tight, such as the shoulders, elbows, and hips. These areas often reveal the underlying structure. For the ribcage, notice how the fabric contours around the chest and upper torso. For the pelvis, observe the folds and creases around the waist and hips. These visual cues can help you infer the position of the bony landmarks even when they are not directly visible.

Any! I use a Prismacolor one which you can get from even big box stores. But most are good.

Masters make it look so easy but are super difficult. Years of training and passion behind it will definitely get you to this artist levels 😅. Super fun and educational.

The yellow coloured ones are my favourite. You can easily tell how much dirt it gotten. I don't like the grey ones because the graphite camouflage so it's hard to tell when to throw or not.

Just starting drawing seriously, with a focus on manga and comic art styles. I didn't even know inking was a thing until starting to watch these. Now I'm almost as fascinated with it as I am with drawing itself.

I've tried Kneaded erasers of various kinds and none have ever felt right in my hands, like to use a tombow mono or a Factis black 18
@Nivee42721 сағат бұрын
Once I learned how to use a kneaded eraser, effectively, it was the biggest improvement to my sketches. Its one of those tools you don't really think much about but it can really change your drawing process.

Great lesson! thanks!!! "As photoshop user myself" there's a slightly quicker/simpler way to do what you mentioned in the "self critique" portion of your video. the 1st part is the same •Save your drawing layer over your photo layer and Change the layer mode to "Multiply" (or "Linear Burn"). • then in the menu Goto "IMAGE" > "Adjustments" > "Hue/Saturation" . • a window pops-up. Click on "Colorize" • and then adjust the "HUE", "SATURATION" & "LIGHTNESS" bar options to taste. click ok. Done

I'm a self-taught artist and my drawing improved SO MUCH when I started "drawing loose" as Ryan says around 2:00. What I've found is that 75% of the time, by keeping things loose, forms and shapes and lines will actually reveal THEMSELVES to you, and then it's just as easy as locking them in.

what a small world when one of your favorite artists just so happens to be from the same small town you grew up in, Leuven is tiny about 100,000 people and what are the chances had me grinding and you did a 1:1 of the market, its fun when you know the context behind a drawing, right in front of the town hall

wow thats alot of stuff to try / do. I have just this afternoon tried drawing upsidedown and it was okayish. Sadly i do have a proporsion issue. i never have enough space on my paper. even when i try to fram it in i still end upp making it to big.
@ProkoTVКүн бұрын
That's a pretty common issue and it's very possible to get sorted out. Laying in your measurements first really helps, among the other things mentioned in this video and others on our channel. I hope those help!
