And to think, I was always told not to plant potatoes where tomatoes have grown. And here you are, grafting them. Amazing. 😂

So while your cat decomposes, the tree is taking in all the nutrients which end up in the avocados… which end up in you… so your cat will become a part of you… that’s actually pretty poetic… and hardcore

I currently have an avo seedling I just started from seed 6 mos. ago. I've been wondering whether to continue with it. I live in a zone 7 climate. I know they like it hotter. Growing indoors is out. I have 2 cats that delight in ripping up any live plant brought inside. Thus, I have no indoor plants. (My seedling is currently in an old birdcage with a light to protect it from cat attack) I have several fruit trees in my back and front yard though 😁 (2 paw paw trees, 2 pear trees, 1 persimmon tree, 1 peach tree, 2 fig trees, and 4 hazelnut bushes.) If I had the land, I'd own a permaculture orchard because I'm addicted to growing fruit trees.

I am a fan of growing fruit trees from seed, I live in Zone 7 and for the last couple years I have grown avocado from seed some i had 2 years and was trying to get them to climatize but so far they die and the top dries up, however when spring comes it shoots back from the roots. I am not sure if covering will help but I am avoiding growing inside, basically I am trying to force the tree to climatize it may take years but like all living things it want to survive and evolve. lets forget the science rules for a bit and think about that. thanks for the video and yes there is great pleasure in seeing what you plant grow. I have apples pears and grapes from seed.

You are my HERO dude. I have been collecting tons of seeds from the fruits I eat thanks to your channel. You can tell you really care and put the work in and are not just throwing together a 1-day video for clicks without aolid proof of results. As a serious gardener I really trust your advice.

Growing anything is good. The fruit is good no matter where you grow it - the gardener has to sincerely have the desire to inspect the drainage, light exposure, pH, mulch, soil type. It is a lot of information but when you understand that plants are your chemist, pharmacy and life givers, the relationship becomes something of great interest. Treat a plant like it is part of the family and they will reward you with the effort you put in. I understand it is not for everyone but as health begins to fail and contamination of prescription medicine becomes more of an issue due to unnecessary toxins being applied to the medication as part of the production process - growing your own plants is the way to go. Now even gardens are under assault due to governments offering 'cooling credits' to companies that put sulfur, barium and aluminum oxide into the air - this affects the roots of plants. The most powerful part of the avocado is the brown skin that surrounds the seed. The brown skin is one of the most powerful antioxidants in the entire world. You can get medicine from the actual seed as well. Everything that people tell me not to grow because there are better ways - I've tried most of them and every plant or seed I tried succeeded if given the same amount of love. Also, be aware that monopolies profit from disinformation. Usually the people that say "don't grow this or else" are the ones profiting from a good strain they developed. In reality, all seeds have the potential to be something greater than the parent. There are some tricks, such as breeding unrelated genetics will create a single generation of high yield plants however despite plant genetics, stress and environmental factors, even the bacteria that comes into contact with the surface of a seed, all these things cause seeds to make further genetic modifications as they grow. This is because as a seed travels through the gut or poop of an animal, there are neurons in the stomach that communicate with the seeds and there are also bacteria / microbes that interact with the seeds. Seeds are living elements of existence - they are an awareness just as all things are part of the body of existence - and seeds want to survive also, so that membrane around the seed is not just for protection, it is two way for interaction and learning. I'm usually a decade ahead of mainstream science so if what I say sounds strange, in 10 years when you forget my comment you'll be like "oh yeah, that guy was right" - that's my life story. I connect with everything and everyone and part of this set of conditions that makes my scenario is genetics, and part of it is the result of disabilities I have as the result of being given harmful substances under the direction of poorly educated doctors, but through my tough conditions I have an upside to my disability where I see all things and if I ask a question I get an answer and I haven't been incorrect so far, the only downside is that I am an anomaly in that I can tell you the future to an exact detail but I struggle to maintain myself due to my mind being so occupied with seeing everything.

Wow! Congrats on producing such a healthy crop. 🎉 My dad used to grow tamarillos and he was always so precious about harvesting them. Sadly, I was such a wretched child that I often ate most of them when ripe, just to wind him up.

The stalks when dried make great garden stakes too!!! You can even leave them in the ground for a sturdy base and grow like snow peas in the fall to trellis up them.

Sounds like people want to discourage the common folk from growing their own avocado trees because it would be useless! So spend your hard-earned money buying avocados from us. Because we know that a single avocado tree will produce an overwhelming amount of fruit and if that fruit is good then so much for the business

Avocados need grafting to produce quality fruit, just like all fruit trees; Apple, Plum, Peach, Pear, etc. 99% of all avocados trees grown from seeds produce only tiny 2” size fruit. The Hass and Fuerte are best tasting.
